I misread and thought "recipe" rather than "batch"

Yep. I find many porters to be too thin, but a good one is indeed a thing of beauty.

I like when I find a non-flavored porter that can stand on its own. Pretty rare I'm finding.
i agree and it's hard to beat Fullers London Porter in this category especially when you factor in availability.

I really enjoy flavored porters as well and liquid bliss is very good.

Not that I drink much in the ways of porters anyway, but I'm afraid to try Liquid Bliss because I hate peanut butter paired with those types of flavors.

Like peanut better and chocolate? Or nutella (seems closer to the roasted taste you'd get with the beer)? NOPE.

So yeah, I'm afraid of the peanut butter. I think Reese's cups are the devil.

Haven't had LB but there's a peanut butter porter out of Birmingham's Beer Engineers Brewery that is damn solid.

Is the peanut butter flavor overpowering?

Which part are you laughing at? That I'm afraid of it? Or that I hate Reese's? Because I understand either one

No for the beer engineers pb Porter. It was awesome and I wanted a little more pb in it.

Several beers tonight with a client. Can't remember them all. A Sculpin, a few Rapp Gose, petrus pale, La folie, and an IPA and wheat from maybe bus driver or something like that. I'll have to check. The wheat was great.

I tried Maple Bacon Coffee Porter at a share a while back and wasn't the biggest fan. Several other people said the same thing, so maybe it was just a bad bottle.

Personal preference...BP Victory at Sea is easily one of my favorite porters
