it's honestly like miles doesn't watch other teams play or something. like he's stuck in his own bubble.

Throwing him to the wolves doesn't sound like a good plan to me. Ease him in there. Maybe he takes over at some point this season, but I don't think starting him now is the answer.

good intentions paved the way to hell. you may be telling the truth but i'd bet a million dollars the collective LSU fanbase will indeed NOT be patient with Harris and give him a pass on mistakes due to inexperience. this fan base is NOT being patient with Jennings so why in the hell do you think they'll be patient with Harris?

LSU fans always love the back up QB. ALWAYS. if the known isn't perfect, we prefer the unknown. Harris very well likely will not be any better than Jennings this year, imo. throws a prettier ball and probably is more accurate on the short passes. but WE KNOW NOTHING ELSE ABOUT HIM.
DING!

This shows your lack of knowledge. It's mostly the running game that's keeping Harris on the bench. There is a lot of pressure on the QB to get us into the right running play.

As a fan I willing to be patient with Harris and take the mistakes due to inexperience. Those mistakes will dwindle as Harris gains more experience and the season progresses.

Jennings isn't dripping with experience either chief, so where's the patience with him?

Why can so many other schools go this route (start him early), but not LSU? Jarrett Lee is a lifetime ago, and he had to start. Jefferson didn't seem scared when he played the last 4 games of that season.

This isn't an every QB thing.

2013
Jared Goff California 60% 3488 yards 18 TDs 10 int
John O'Korn Houston 58% 3117 yards 28 TDs 10 int
Christian Hackenberg 59% 2998 yards 20 TDs 10 int
Davis Webb Texas Tech 62% (10 games) 2710 yards 20 TDs 9 int
PJ Walker Temple (9 games) 60% 2084 yards 20 TDs 8 int, rush 332 yards 3 TDs

2014
Anu Solomon Arizona 63% 1454 yards 13 TDs 3 int, 167 rush yards
Brad Kaaya Miami 62% 1052 yards 10 TDs 7 int (was not an early enrolle)
Deshaun Watson Clemson 70% 479 yards 4 TDs, 55 rush yards 1 TD (gets first start this week)

These are all true freshman.

True. But he does have a whole extra year more in the offense (including spring '13).

Is our playbook that hard to master? Really?

Thank you for that.
That explains a lot about you and most LSU fans.

Hindsight is 20/20. People didn't think JJ and Lee would be as bad as they were after their freshman seasons.

Neither had a QB coach. We have Cam. The same guy who picked Brees, Rivers, and Flacco in the draft. The same guy who coached those guys to success. Took basically a WR in Randle El, and made him a dynamic QB for Indiana.

Jennings' up side is tapped out. Harris' ceiling is draftable by the NFL. See the difference?

Maybe not, but Auburn is

If Harris doesn't start against Auburn, we have no chance. They are pretty much a more talented version of MSU minus a Preston Smith type lineman.

Honestly I can't see that. I admit that I don't have your vast coaching experience nor have I been to as many practices and teams meeting as you have.

Not everyone is Jarrett Lee. Some guys know how to let go of failure.

Don't be an arse. Lee gave all he had for LSU. If it wouldn't have been for him, we wouldn't have gone unbeaten during the 2011 regular season.

JJ was forced into starting and look what happened (here come the JJ sucks and always sucked regardless people). Sorry but I'm a little skeptical of throwing a freshman in there.

JJ was forced to start and look what happened? He didn't lose confidence. We lost 30-31 against Arkansas, and won 38-3 against Georgia Tech. He then went the next t year and had 2200 pass yards 17 TDs 7 ints in 11 and a half games, with an additional 170 rush yards and 1 TD. That was with a run game that totaled 1600 yards and 15 TDs and that's with his rushing added.

He's young. You can't expect him to know all the inner workings of an College/NFL playbook.

Harris is older than Jennings.

and has been terrible this year so that extra year in the system hasn't exactly done wonders for him.
