Very interesting. I've heard "five losses" in this thread as a benchmark for faltering

realistic view is that lsu could lose that this season after what was viewed one game obviously.

while I don't think lsu would lose 5 three seasons in a row, I do think if it did the administration would look to make a move. Jmo

Based on past history, I don't know how anybody wouldn't expect a huge rally from the Tigers. That's what Les Miles teams do. They rally.

i'd love for a pumper to answer these questions. They always avoid them.

You think 2 sec titles in 10 years is acceptable? for the money he is paid? with our facilities? with our recruits?

You think him quitting on 1-9 was acceptable?

You think the fact he should have 9 more wins than he has is acceptable? since pumpers love to espouse that win% so much.

You think his player and game management, OTFD, and preparation is acceptable?

There's also been a weird strain of self-loathing in the Louisiana collective (put that word in especially for you) psychology. When I was a kid there were these hater-types that were all in with Notre Dame. These same people throw in with the Gumps now. They idealize "the other" and detest themselves. It's actually a very "Lefty" psychological perspective, but I digress, pre-fist-fight, so as not to go all PT Board on you. In the LSU case, I think it's based in fear. LSU fans can be fearful types. They fear loss of status.
First round is on me when you visit New York. Great take.

Same here, and I would look forward to welcoming Mr. Miles' successor and look back on the Miles era quite fondly.

I guess it all depends on how many losses each year are acceptable for you and this quality of a program.

If his employer finds it acceptable, I suppose that's all that matters. I have no say in the matter, nor would I want to be charged with that responsibility.

He clocked in and out at the appropriate times. Jordan Jefferson dealt with this loss in a more mature manner than you have.

His win loss record is not only acceptable; it is exceptional.

Given his results during this tenure, absolutely.

Now how about you answer my simple question, genius? Tell me when. Put up or shut up.

There it is. Fear of loss of status. And because everything short of the ideal is seen as failure, these guys stay in a fear-state. They don't get that urge to rally like we do, they get the urge to run for the lifeboats.

I see it as a setback. A challenge. And I'm optimistic about that challenge. History tells me I have a right to be.

I think that's been answered. I don't know any lsu fan that doesn't want to win every game. But we also know each team/year is different, and grows on their terms, not the fans terms.

if it goes bad for three years, you'll get your wish

Why are you trying to lump people under a banner because the bitch about the football team. I'm simply a realist who understands that this football team is near the bottom of the SEC West this year.

Does LSU/TAF pay you per post or something?
