So you're okay losing three games with that loaded NFL talent? Those guys are playing as rookies, and making plays. Yet, we lost 3 games. Now you say that it is foolish to think that we will be as good this year. So what does that mean, 4, 5, 6 losses?

You're okay with that?

Wooo-hooo, 5th in the SEC West. Highest paid coaching staff in the conference. Last year, 3rd in the SEC West, NFL players galore.

Down 31-10 in the 4th at home to fricking ms state with the only TD coming from a strip and score.

That was an embarrassment.

I will give you that HATTricks, that MSU may be better than a lot thought, but again its the old cliché of It's not that we lost , but its' how we lost and besides Bama, its been along time that LSU just flat got manhandled on both sides of the ball and that was for 87% of the game. I just don't put much stock in the fool's gold comeback, yeah it looks good on paper but we all know it was against subs for the most part. And mind you, manhandled in our own backyard and at night , may have understood if it was the ole proverbial day game, but absolutely whipped in Tiger Stadium at night with great weather, People clad in Gold and supposingly according to Miles, "where dreams come to die."

How on earth can you say, with certainty, that they are "the fifth best team in the west?" How can we truly know that, at this point?

Name them and don't say 21-0. That was against an all-time great D and Bama had a great gameplan that was executed almost perfectly.

This was a good, not great, MSU team that came into LSU's house and kicked their teeth in. The only other comparable loss was 2008 UGA IMO. They had 3 future NFL stars on that team and LSU's offense put up some fight in that one at least.

ehhh, arguably. I would say Ole Miss last year was worse just because they were a 3-5 SEC team

Yeah, but Mett forced three horrible throws that led to interceptions. Sure, we could have won had we given Hill the ball, but I can let that slide. The State game? There is no excuse. WE GOT STUFFED ON FOURTH DOWN AT THE GOAL LINE IN FRONT OF THE STUDENT SECTION! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To this point, a step back, is putting it mildly. The regression is a little more than "a step."

.

The bitching and moaning is to be expected after the dismal offensive and defensive performance we all witnessed Saturday night. At least it will look decent in the history books.

Expecting three losses doesn't warrant tolerance for an embarrassing performance.

- Most people expected the top SEC teams to struggle a bit this season as Bama, AU, A&M, LSU, USCe, UGA, etc. all lost significant players from their teams. Before the season, the league looked wide open. Bama, A&M, AU, and UGA all look as good, if not better, than what I expected at this point in the season.

- We also expected our running game to be really strong and help the QBs progress. Our running game has been really disappointing so far.

- We expected our defense to be strong this year, but again, 2/3 units on D have been disappointing through four games.

I thought we were a 2-3 loss team, but we are a lot worse than I expected, and the SEC looks a lot stronger than I expected as well. It's going to be tough for us to win SEC games with such awful play from both offensive and defensive lines.

That's a bit premature. Perhaps MSU wins the west, would this really be the worst loss ever?

People who think MSU will even sniff a West title are delusional.

You are talking about taking a step back from the 3rd place in the West finish. Are we paying 3rd place in the West type of money to our coaching staff? So how much worse will we finish this year than last year? By your admission, we won't be as good this year. 5th out of 6 teams? Last out of 6 teams? Once again, is Les Miles being paid 5th place in the SEC West money?

2011 was a long time ago. Don't forget we lost 3 games in both 2012 and 2013, with the most NFL draft picks in the COUNTRY!!!!

Correction, not to be rude, but we lost to Florida in 2012, not 2013.
