Anything by Peter Hathaway Capstick (especially the early ones) and anything by Russell Annabel. Capstick on Africa and Annabel on Alaska. Trust me, you won't be able to put them down! Also, being a duck hunter, you would like Nash Buckingham.

And Lone Survivor is 1 of the best books I've ever read. The movie has nothing on the book. Truly an incredible story. Read it every year.
