Can't speak for everyone, but it's not that we lost. It's how we lost.

Embarrassed in every position and facet of the game, AT HOME. I think that's what most people are upset with. Rebuilding doesn't mean jack when there is a complete lack of preparation.

I pay good money to see champions, not quitters. LSU quit and quit early.

My brother has always been a "sky is falling" type when it comes to the Tigers and Saints.
He currently thinks Les is now on the hot seat, LSU won't win a conference game, etc.

It got so bad it was funny, and I had to rag him a bit. I still think we're going to win at least 8 or 9 regular season games, and emerge as the early favorite for next season as this year progresses.

Face it, we had a very young team just get whipped by an experienced, senior laden team. That's going to happen. LSU will be wildly up and down this season, and should take out at least one heavy favorite before it's over.

I myself and I believe most people who are complaining are not quiting. The negativity is coming from an accumulation of what we perceive is Miles' stubbornness and lack of ability to see the obvious. And while it will be extremely hard & a long-shot, I actually still do believe and hope we can still win the West... But only if LM makes some really drastic and uncharacteristic changes.

I haven't given up but am realistic about this team's prospects for the rest of the season.

As far as 'what now', I think seeing major philosophy/scheme changes is unlikely, so the best I could hope for is:

--going all in on Harris. He's the future.
--providing regular SEC PT for our young oline guys (Domond, Boutte, Brumfeld, Malone, Dodd, Clapp). There is talent there and I would like to see them start next year with some experience. We'll need them.

--also regular rotation at DT of all the young guys--see who can play, and get them ready for next year. Keep the other young defenders in the mix as well (Adams, Garrett, Paris, Battle, Beckwith, Voorheis).

There is lots of young talent. Start getting them ready for what could be a special 2015.

I'm convinced that Miles could pee on some of you, tell you it was raining, and you'd be like, "Cool. Thanks for the stiff dew update, coach."

From years of coaching experience: LSU is really bad this year. Offense did not fail us Saturday night defense did. If you cannot play defense, you cannot win.

I've spoken to other veteran coaches and we all agree. LSU will be lucky to win a conference game and that includes Kentucky. Season outlook
4-8

I think you are wrong, most people are upset about L M and his stubborn head to run into a stacked line over and over again and again.
He is a good coach but will be lucky to continue to get good players and win the N C.

I just don't understand how you can be positive while before our eyes Miles is pissing away LSU's dominance. Last year we lost to Ole Miss and this year MsSt. We have past in state recruits ie speedy making it known to the world exactly why he didn't choose LSU. We needed speedy and Willis because last night we looked like shite Crob would have been a definite improvement to the oline and landon collins would be a vast improvement over ronald martin I know I am bout to get bashed but to say we are moving in the right direction in the last 4 years is bs

eta the grammar may be horrible but I just spent the past 4 hours looking at spreadsheets for work I am just rambling

losses bring out the worst in a fan. and, add the negatigers 2 cents just make it seem that way. surly you have to be used to that by now. and it's perfectly ok for fans to voice their displeasure and frustration. fans of all schools do that.

sure, some say some really stupid things. but some have some legitimate gripes (or at least I think they do). I don't buy the fire AJ and Welter mantra's I definitely do not think this team is capable of smash mouth run it up the gut football against teams with strong front 7's. so why are we still trying that and stick with it so long? until we can complete passes down the field our running game is gonna be subject to being shut down. this has been true for many years.

It is not that we lost, but how we lost. LSU was manhandled on both sides of the ball and CLM will not call plays in such a way that gives us an opportunity to win.

So, if things don't change in the trenches and in the play calling, it WILL be a very long season.

People have been saying the same things for a while, even earlier this season. However, too many here are content with doing the same ole same ole and not getting any better just as long as we are able to eke out wins.

The lights have come on, LSU has been exposed. Now, how do the coaches respond?

instead of having this teams back?

Is this having their back?

"Great job coach. I love the way you prepared the team for State. I love the way we keep trying to run against a loaded box and really appreciate the way the guy you wanted as a lineback carved up our defense" Only to have us being a moo state miracle from coming behind for the tie at the end. And Dude, the way you keep the better qb on the bench until you are forced to play him was a thing of beauty.

I really hope you ignore those negatigers that want you to change what you do in order to gain more yards on the runs, keep the chains moving and the defense off the field. Ignore those fools.

While I don't subscribe to the throw in the towel and walk away mentality, I think if you realistically look at the performance of this team to this point in the season, and then look at the remaining schedule, it is highly probable this team will lose another 3-4 games.

- @Auburn (we have difficulty winning there when we have an elite team)
- Bama (they are better than we are across the board)
- aTm (they look much better than we do on offense and their defense looks comparable to ours)
- Ole Miss (we will be an underdog in that game as well. Their offense is better than ours and their defense is similar to MSU, who just dominated us)

That leaves @Florida (hard to win in the swamp), Arkansas (best running team in the conference and we have a soft DLine), and Kentucky (who is significantly improved)

I love LSU and I think we can win all these games if the talent we have plays to its potential, but it is unreasonable to think that a team with this many underclassmen are going to play to their full potential at this point in time. Couple that with the handcuffs that we have put on our offense and we are back to being what we were in 2012 except with more youth and inexperience.

I think this is a season where you hope for the best, but not be surprised if we end up with 5 losses at the end of the year.
