Day may be a douchebag, but the notion that "LSU recruits character" is laughable.

Unless your position is that our guys only commit their criminal acts off the field - then you may be on to something.

I don't advocate this happening to anybody.

But after seeing that, it's my considered opinion that our d-line should have made it their mission over the rest of the night to end this assclown's career. They should have made every effort possible to see to it that this fricker never walks without a permanent limp again.

He should have been ejected. The refs weren't all that great and let state get away with murder Saturday night. Disgusting.

This behavior by Day [and Mullen] is inexcusable. If the SEC or the NCAA allows Mullen and Day to get away with this then I would urge LSU to seek legal action directly against the offending player and the coach. The game is dangerous enough without having some lose cannon running around deliberately targeting opposing players. Assault and battery IS what it is...whether it's done in a domestic setting, or in a football game. Also, where were the refs?

I'm not a fan of the NFL, but when this shite was going on in the Saints organization, the NFL suspended the coaches involved. Hell, they suspended Payton for a year.

The SEC will live to regret in action. If a future team sees this clip and that Asshat know as Dillon Day tries it again, against another team and they retaliate and purposely hurt him. SHIZT will hit the fan.

That Dawg Center wanted to win bad. Like the Honey Badger a few years ago when he closelined the Bama dude. Dirty or not, Dillon Day helped his team whip us. Football is a Spartan sport. Our defense should have taken matters into their own tired hands. Tired of the O not moving the chains. No way a legit defense would have allowed that crap without taking a swing. Manhandled

So much stupidity. The guy is pure garbage - taking shots on players that are not in a position to prevent or brace for it - and needs to hit the bricks. Your pseudo praise for him is trash as well.

To think that Day has only done this 3 times in his career & gotten "caught" those 3 times is like saying EWE only stole one time & got caught that one time. These types of punks do it & do it & do it till they go over the edge. Karma is a bitch & he'll get his one day, either from us or another team in the league who's seen the tapes.

I don't know why this doesn't really bother me...I think our players should have retaliated if they had an issue with it

In real time on TV, it was hard to see how dirty it was. No way those guys on the field could tell, even if they just happen to be looking at that exact spot.

I agree here. In no manner is this NOT common in football. all sorts of dirty stuff goes on especially with OL guys. Does it make it right? No, but where are the mean streaks with our guys? No one stood up for anyone. They sat there and took their beating.

this. I bet Andolsek, Albergamo, Whitworth, and some others have some good stories of being nasty.

our players were laying on the ground, probably didnt know what happened. He then purposefully blind sides a player after the play and gets a 1 yd penalty. guess what? if you eject him after the first, he doesnt get an opportunity to blatantly try to injure two other players.

The problem i have was he was never involved with the end play, running in after tackles were made. yes guys get dirty in the pile, but this was overboard.
