Duly noted. You're mad. No doubt about it.

Look forward to your reaction later in the season when someone pays him back, or maybe they pay back by getting your qb. But you will not be angry, it's just boys being boys right?

Day was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty but got away with the 2 Stomps. The problems for Day are his prior history, the cameras catching it, and public sentiments calling for the SEC league office to do something. The NCAA Div I office may make the SEC do something because of the video evidence. We saw what happened with Day, the leader of the OL, out of the game. An ejection for targeting a defenseless player by stomping on them has some calling for him to be arrested for battery and prosecuted.

quote:

Mississippi State’s center got a personal foul call near the end of the third quarter for trucking an LSU defender well after the whistle.

As the Bulldogs figuratively stomped the Tigers in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday night, Day was busy doing it literally. The CBS cameras caught him stomping Davon Godchaux’s stomach and jamming his right foot into Rashard Robinson’s groin.

On the Godchaux stomp, Day appears to leap over quarterback Dak Prescott and LSU safety Jalen Mills, then forcefully plow his left cleat into the defensive tackle’s belly, causing a visible ripple. Judging by Day’s head, the center eyeballs his target and then peels his head away immediately as if to disguise the move. If it were accidental, wouldn’t Day have looked back to see what damage he’d done?

Later, when Day probably could’ve avoided Robinson, he hammers his foot into the cornerback’s groin, causing himself to lose balance and topple over and Robinson to leave the game.

Considering Day, a 6-foot-4, 299-pound long-haired senior, was suspended for a half last year due to another stomping incident, it’s hard to believe it was accidental.

It will be interesting to see whether the SEC takes initiative to suspend Day, a Rimington Trophy watch lister. The video looks intentional and indefensible.

Wish our team had some nastiness about them. Our center was blown up all night while this guy opened up some huge holes where the runs went for huge yardage.

WOW! Find a way to shite on ours in a thread about a POS from MSU. In other words you would prefer that POS representing LSU.

I know many are upset Porter reclaimed him starting position, but he was no worse than anyone else in the game including Pocic. I believe MSU has the best d-line in the SEC and it isn't even close. And they were not dirty filthy players like Day. There is no place for that behavior in the game. He should be suspended a minimum of the remainder of the year. Can't have players intentionally trying to injure other players. At least now everyone knows he is a criminal masquerading as a football player.

I wonder whats going through the players minds in that gif. Kinda weird how calm they are. Though robinson got it later. Maybe he retaliated

I really don't believe they saw it. They had no reaction to it. I am sure they would have at least called for a flag. They were observing the scrum for the ball, not some deviant's attempt to injure their teammate in plain daylight.

he was suspended for something like this last year.

I think a lot of this is attributed to being a high emotion game for him. LSU snubbed him (Shows deserves some blame for this as well). But he's a nasty player. Wish we had him. THe stomp on Godchaux looked intentional. The one on RR looked like it was somewhat unintentional to me. He seems like he's going to hop over, but his foot gets snagged and he stumbles right on RR. The late hit on Martin was inexcusable. He may very well see a one game suspension for all these actions.

That said, I would have rather have him last night than what we got from Porter. EP has got to improve.

Robinson was an accident in your view? And you want LSU players representing the school like that POS? And you single out Porter for his bad play. (see my previous post about Porter reclaiming his spot). Had Porter done the same thing Day did, I guarantee you and the others would be here castigating him, calling him a Thug POS who should be dismissed from the team. Guarantee it.

Name me one o-lineman who played great in the game. They were all inept against what I believe is the best d-line in college football. Yet you guys single out Porter. I wonder why? I recall one video where the d-lineman beat a double team by Porter and Pocic.

I would be so pissed. Would pull the pony tail out of his scalp during a play.

I truly do not believe the players saw either of the stompings by Day. Review the videos. Those calling them out for doing nothing don't know what they are talking about. This is a close knit team and the minimum they would have done was scream to the ref about what occurred. That POS tried to disguise his intent to injure. And the players are not thinking some degenerate will stomp one of their teammates in plain view. Their attention was elsewhere.

I love the fact that y'all are bringing this up after a loss. Had y'all won, not a single thread would cover this and y'all wouldn't care at all.

Not true. First off I am sure to MSU fans, finally beating LSU outweighs everything else. You only get to do it every 10-20 years. But anyone who is not disturbed by Day's behavior in intentionally trying to injure other players has major problems. It has nothing to do with winning or losing the game. His actions were outside the course of the game. It wasn't a chop block or some normal play in the game. He went out of his way to intentionally injure someone.

And for those equally POS LSU fans who would prefer his ilk to our guys, go support him and MSU. We don't need him or your type representing LSU.

MSU beat our asses plain and simple. The team should be commended for that. Alabama has beat us many times and no one has complained about any of their players behavior because they play the game with honor. The only other player I recall complaints about was Fairly at Auburn. He was a dirty player as well, but in the course of the game. Day's behavior is an outlier. He went beyond the course of the game to injure.

What a bunch of pussies our players are. THEY should have gave him something back. Instead they just continued to get ran over. If this loss doesn't fire this team up nothing will and I imangine MSU will catch hell next year.

He'll likely be disciplined by the conference. Likely, the week of the State Bama clash.

Considering the SEC HQ is as dirty as Day, I wouldn't expect much.

They'll likely suspend him for just one game and it will likely be November 15th when the Bulldogs play the Gumps.

Is there any update on Robinson's condition. That hit could have been very serious. If so, just arrest the guy. Both hits were pretty dangerous.

I wonder what wasn't captured on TV.

We'll see, I think he gets by. I personally think the SEC hopes it will be forgotten. But I have a connection that says there is support from other schools calling for Day's days as a Bulldog to be put on a leash. Ending his eligibility.
