Name one, just one SEC caliber QB that Miles has recruited out of high school since he has been here.
Brandon Harris

Brandon Harris is not yet an SEC caliber QB. Again I say. ZERO. Gotta do it before you claim it.

You said recruit an SEC caliber QB, not develop into an NFL player

If we went to an NFL style offense under Cameron, a lot more shotgun and play action, Harris throwing it 35-40 times a game...it would be a damn good offense.
My God. . .we have the personnel to light some teams up running that kind of offense.

We should have been passing from the get go and using the pass to setup the run.
This. Miles seems to think you have to be able to run first to set up the pass, no matter what.
Doesn't realize you can pass to set up the run.
Just plain old stupid.

That is exactly what I said. Brandon Harris is not an SEC caliber QB at this time. The jury is still out. I said nothing about NFL. A qtr. of play does not mean he is an SEC caliber QB. Neither does his high school record. It is proven on the field. Miles told the Miss State QB he would be recruited by LSU as a defensive back because he was not SEC caliber. That has been proven wrong on the field. My question remains so stop trying to twist what I ask. The answer is still ZERO to this point in time.

And we line up and run into a brick wall until our heads crack and the team quits, how is this possible with an NFL offensive coordinator? I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
It doesn't help when our QB fumbles 2 snaps on pass plays and one hops another 2 passes to wide open receivers.

So you're asking how many quarterbacks he's recruited that are SEC caliber coming OUT of high school? Do you realize not even johnny manziel, tim tebow, cam newton, or jameis winston started as true freshman?

The coaches game plan was obvious- we want to run the ball and then throw occasionally when we have to.
That game plan was stupid, especially against a team where their strength is in the box and weakness is secondary. pLUS 10000

Please, everybody knows that if your true freshman QB isn't 100% Aaron Rodgers by the 3rd quarter of their first game, they're destined to hold a clipboard.

And when we run and trickle the ball down field we kill the clock so latter in the game we have to pass to catch up. If you are leading and not behind 31-10 you can kill some clock. But you sure better recognize that your game plan, if you had any, isn't working and you better be able to pass the ball before its too late.

I have noticed at times that Miles teams here at LSU don't turn out to be what you think they are from week to week. I thought the D was gonna be great even after shutting down thise klast 2 teams regardless of their affiliation with D2 leagues. They both played D1 teams before us.
Now I wonder if we are to be lulled into thinking that Brandon Harris is the man and starts against Auburn only to bomb just like Jennings? That could happen if Auburn readies for Harris and Les stands pat on any actual game plan that would benefit the talent on this team. If we have Harris hand off repeatedly it would be the same as having Jennings in the game.

Harris prob got disciplined for his 4th qtr heroics.
I think CLM is not only stubbornly stuck in some B1G/Michigan time warp in his schemes, but he is also become too lazy or complacent to innovate or even learn something new - and that includes entrusting the offense and what they do game-time to the real experts (like Cam). Thus the results we see when we "play down to the opponents" or get our butts kicked by the likes of MSU.

Except for when we actually move the ball, right? Then it's all Cam. Am I doing it right?

We wouldn't even need that much though.
About 30 pass and 40 run would be enough. Hell, Bama ran off like 87 plays against Florida. Kentucky ran 79. K State ran 70 against Auburn also.
I'd take 28 passes, but I want half of them from the shotgun and I want a good mix and it not be because we are behind. I want 3 and 4 wide. That is the new NFL type offense.
