Still has his balls.

My English lab. I'm assuming English and British are the same.

They have restricted papers.

You can stud him, but the pups won't fetch top dollar, but still higher than most places.

And, depending on the stud/dam a wildrose pup is $1200. IDK where this $2k talk is coming from. Unless they changed pricing in the last year.

ETA: and you don't overpay for the retriever in a british. You overpay for the versatility. Meaning he/she can go balls to the wall hunting all morning, come home and play with the kids/sleep by the fire/etc. All the while the damn tail will be wagging and they'll be happy to please you. Instead of a hunting machine that spends 15 years with it's tail between it's legs tearing up furniture and shite when home.

ST bought one last year, I think he'd know the pricing.

They must've upped them then.

I checked on a litter with Mike last summer and was given $1200 as the price for the pup. IDK if that included all costs though, or he just threw out bare cost of the pup in that. Either way the things worth it

your shotgun?
your lifetime license?
your boat?
that blind?

None of those will spoon with you on the couch, or literally die for you

Nobody ever said our hobby was cheap

Double TT British Kennels. One of the best working British Kennels out there. WORKING STOCK. I have onwed one. He was a Master Hunter, Hunting Retriever Champ., and QAA. Top hunting dog and family dog. Water fowl and upland. He also would pick up fur. Double TT dogs are bred out of "British Field Trial Stock". Not fat, big head, short English show stock.
