They had 9 points. I'm all for having high expectations but my Lord!

It's still a dumpsterfire. Elite QBs will still eat us alive.

Anytime you hold an NFL offense to <250 yards and 9 points you're doing fine.

Hopefully this win will get them out of this funk. We should beat the crap out of the Cowboys and Tampa and head 3-2 into the bye.

They didn't score a TD. Held them to a single digit score. Won. Hopefully no one was seriously injured.

They were down 2 scores for the final 12 minutes. That's not "to the brink" Their defense kept them within reaching distance for most of the game if that's what you mean.

On the contrary, this Peterson-less Vikings team with a rookie QB had 102 yards of total offense in the 2nd half and didn't score a touchdown

It has some work to do to measure up to the standards of the LSU version but this live Saints Score Board definitely has some potential.

Sadly, most won't see it that way.

I don't think you understand what being taken to the brink means

You just witnessed an 8-8 team squeak by another bad team at home.

Not feeling very encouraged.

exactly.... i'm happy they won, but going forward this season, from what we've seen so far, i just don't have much hope of this team going far this season.... i could be very wrong, but from the evidence they have provided thus far, yeah... outlook isn't very sunny, at this point...
