HC - I don't know you that well... but I would definitely make sure that if these folks are close enough that you have spent holidays with them at any point in the past - invite them to things around Thanksgiving and Christmas (not necessarily your "personal" celebrations unless it's comfortable for you... you get what I'm saying).
ETA:
"Group" stuff so it's not just you taking the whole situation on. Also more comfortable if there is a new SO involved.

Don't suffer alone, always find someone to talk to. If the bf helps you, then talk to him, but just don't let it fester. Even posting here can be therapeutic, you'll just have to ignore the comedians.
