He might as well keep drinking until he kills over, cause if he quits now with a daily intake of 14 bottles, he has a good chance of going through some serious withdraw on an aging and broken body and dying.

My ex's dad could drink all day and be stone sober. He would drink screwdrivers for breakfast then go get a few bloody marys, then go to another bar then go to lunch then go to another bar, then go to a drive through and get a drink on his way home. He would fix dinner for his wife and go back to the bar for a few more then get one for the road on his way home.
He would mix liquor wine and beer all day, and never had a hangover.

I don't see how that's possible unless he's on some other type of drug every day like amphetamines or something.

he doesn't get drunk, yet he pissed in the first class aisle of an Air France plane? lol
He owns his own vineyard, I guess it's easy to build up so high a tolerance with non stop wine.

Yes, that is apparently key, which is why drinking when hungover often quickly relieves hangover symptoms (hair of the dog).
I might get the science a little mixed up, but when you drink, your body considers the alcohol a toxin. The body initially processes the alcohol (ethanol), into acetaldehyde, which is further broken down into other byproducts.
The hangover results from acetaldehyde or perhaps one of the other byproducts as your body continues to process them until they are fully broken down into water, CO2, etc. I don't think it is the poison that makes you feel so bad so much as it is the way the body reacts to rid itself of the poison (which consumes a lot of water, vitamins, etc.).
Regardless, both ethanol and acetaldehyde are poisons, but as I understand it, the body always reverts to dealing with ethanol first. So, if you have a bad hangover and your body is trying to clear out acetaldehyde or other secondary poisons, when you start drinking again your body essentially says, "Whoa! Stop messing with those secondary poisons. There's more ethanol to deal with now!" The body reverts to converting the alcohol into acetaldehyde, and temporarily ignores the acetaldehyde; and as soon as it does, the severity of the hangover is less intense. And sometimes you can drink your way back to euphoria.
Of course, the build up of byproducts will likely be all the worse the longer you put it off, unless you start drinking a lot of water, taking vitamins, and try to coast down a little more easily at some point.

Andre needed 2 gallons of vodka to get a buzz. But Andre was huge and did eventually get drunk. This guy is just lying to impress the OT.

NOT I SAID THE BLIND MAN
I can drink a bottle of wine over 3 hours with dinner and not be drunk, just feel relaxed, but goddamn if my head doesn't feel like Gerard Depardieu himself is sitting on it in the morning.
I have switched to 3 fingers of Macallan 12 with 1 cube of ice as my go-to after dinner/pre-bed beverage. No hangover and doesn't stain my teeth (and a more powerful punch).
