Totally agree. My gf (now wife) and I moved to Atlanta in 2006 to start graduate school and everyone told us we should buy a house. Thankfully we decided to just get an apartment since we knew we'd be moving once we graduated (though it was 7 years later). Friends who did buy houses then had to sell for massive losses when they left the area. It isn't always a better idea to buy
