Got quoted 27k and 28k for interior and exterior new construction in New Orleans. Only slightly bigger than your house. I couldn't believe it.

My house is exactly that size not counting my gameroom (converted garage), and someone quoted me around $2,000 around 2-3 years ago (might have been ($2,300, can't remember exactly).

We paid a couple thousand to have my downstairs painted a few years back. Around 1,400 sq ft, but we did ceilings too in some rooms and not just walls. Big living room and that ceiling, stairwell and that ceiling, hallway and that ceiling, and a bathroom with a cabinet and trim work. Money well spent. It took them two days and they did it while I was at work. Came highly recommended from some friends. It would have taken me 2-3 weekends doing it myself. The first day they moved all furniture to the middle and draped it in tarps and dropcloths and put the first coat on. Came back the next day for touchups on the trim and the second coat on the walls. It was 2-3 guys. One guy just did trim and cabinet work and the other two were strictly walls and ceiling. They bought all the paint and supplies and did the work.

I think we paid around $3,500 for our exterior to be painted. We have brick on the lower part of the house and wood siding on the top on the side and back. They quoted us so much for the siding, based on sq ft, and so much per window and shutters, and he also painted the front door and back door to match the shutters.

$100/day

Or $10 an hour.

If you go early they want more, if you pick them up for around eleven or noon they will be cheaper.
Also offer to treat at a Taquiera. It will set you back $12 to feed four of them.

Necesito trabajadores = I need workers

Necesito pintores= I need painters

trabajo en el interior = the work is inside (HUUUUUGGGGEEEE selling point to get them cheaper)

10 (diez) dólares por hora

80 (ochenta) por dia

Te voy a comprar almuerzo = I'll buy you lunch right now
