You gave a car you owned, signed a title over, let them take possession and probably sell it, all while hoping your financing would be approved on a vehicle you now do not own and could be taken away from you at any point or sold to you at a HIGHER price! And for some reason, days later, you still don't see it worth your time to find a way to get over there to rectify the situation....and you are not smart enough to realize the dealership isn't returning your call because they know the more you use their vehicle, the less leverage you have.

I don't think you understand what he is saying.
Even if they want a longer term, nothing stops him from paying monthly payments of the original term, thus paying off the loan at the same time.
Nothing changes.

That's correct, if there are financing incentives. You do understand that finance companies make money off of loans, right? It would make sense that they would offer enticements to use them, at times.

This doesnt' work of the interest rate goes up.
Say he borrows 20K at 3 percent to pay off in 36 months. His monthly payment would be $581.62, and he pays total interest of $938.82.
Now, say the new loan is same amount 20K, but 5 percent interest to pay off in 38 months. He keeps paying the same $581.62 a month. He ends up with 37 payments of $581.62 and a 38th payment of $111.47. Total interest paid is $1,631.41. He pays an additional interest of $692.59, which is also the roughly same amount as the 37th and 38th payments combined.

I've certainly learned a lot reading this thread. I've financed three cars over my life - one with Mitsubishi credit via the dealership, one with a local bank via the dealership, and one on my own with a credit union where I was pre-approved (i.e. I got my own financing), and the paperwork was worked out between the CU and the dealership (kinda like a blank check deal, but my CU didn't give me a blank check, they just gave me the paperwork telling the dealer I was approved for X amount.)
In the first two instances, I signed paperwork at the dealership, which showed the loan, the amount, the interest, the payments, etc. On the third instance, the dealer gave the cost info to the CU, who faxed over all the paperwork with interest, payment, etc, which I signed at the dealership.
In the first instance, I guess the financing was truly done because it was through Mitsubishi credit. In the thrid instance, I knew it was a done deal. What I am now thinking is that in the second instance, where the local bank did the loan, that maybe it wasn't truly "done" when I drove off the lot. I might have signed some spot form, I don't remember (it was 9 years ago) but certainly that was not explained to me - that the bank finance could fall through.

All you're doing is reiterating the fact that you don't know shite and running your mouth on pure speculation.
If they sold my trade in, good for them. There was no money to be made on it, it had too many miles.
Also my kids mom is a RN and works nights, can't exactly ask her to keep him while she's working.

Demos are basically vehicles that management use to test drive; I've seen them test driven up to and over 10,000 miles. Again, if it is never titled and traded in at a dealership the vehicle is still considered a new purchase that fully qualifies for new vehicle dealer incentives and manufacturer rebates.
Again, it is not a pre-owned vehicle.
