Considering the war on drugs is caused by big government
Yes, that's right. Once the government got to a certain size - they started rounding people up and throwing them in prison for drugs. It has absolutely nothing to do with people electing politicians who passed shitty laws - its only due to government's size.

You are so fricking stupid. Do you not realize big government refers to a governing philosophy, not just literally the number of federal employees? Jesus Christ.

Got it!

With all due respect, all police chiefs, sheriffs, district attorneys and attorney generals have wide discretion when it comes to which laws they choose to prioritize, and Eric Holder putting the war of drugs on the back burner is a perfect example of this. Lawmakers can pass all the silly laws they want to but they still need someone to enforce them.

You're the only person that has been factually incorrect in this thread. Between you and cptbengal I've lost loads of respect for the scientific community.

Uhh, but you said

If someone breaks into your home you can kill them

Is that no longer true?

Big Government = Overreaching Government.

A no knock warrant is overreaching and incredibly stupid. I don't know how anyone thinks those are a good idea in any circumstance.

It is a joke that the guy is being prosecuted. The cops shouldn't have used a no-knock warrant. They are extremely stupid and dangerous.

No it's not. If someone breaks into your home you can kill them regardless of the reason for their intrusion .

Wrong.

A man who shot and killed two men who broke into his Puyallup marijuana-grow operation in December 2012 was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Tacoma to seven years in prison.

... he shot two armed, masked men who tried to force their way into the three-car garage of his secluded, luxury home.

How does it feel to be factually incorrect, cwill?

My bad.

I can never figure out why they don't just wait for the guy to leave. Arrest him outside the home, then search his home. Duh. Are the cops really that stupid?

They need to transition back to peace keepers and not law ENFORCERS.

These raids on non-violent offenders should be banned. No reason for it.

if you couldn't tell from the 500000000000000000 times it's been used here (and in the news and media every day), it's a pejorative term for overreaching government. Holy shite, you are a moron.

I always thought big government meant exactly overreaching government. Have I an incorrect understanding of one or both of these terms, or is it you?

Screw that. The cops should face all associated charges of a home invasion.

No knock warrants have to stop. They endanger the lives of citizens and police.
