I really can't comprehend why "liking" the announcers is that important.
I think Danielson and lundquist are entertaining but have no problem with the mute button and turning on the radio or just watching the game. I really turned the tube on to watch the game anyway (as opposed to someone telling me what i'm seeing? gimma a break)

Sometimes I forget that Verne didn't just congeal into a chortling old man.
Danielson is the best, and I like the big game feel of the two more than I dislike Verne's occasional gaffes. That's the balance with the old legends.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to see Verne walking around with BAMA gear on his time off.
He indirectly sucks them off so hard during broadcasts, it's hard to ignore. Can't stand him

Gary is, on his best day, a mediocre analyst, but is typically piss poor or Captain-fricking-Obvious and rarely has a kind word about LSU.
Verne is so senile he can't even get the players right. It used to be funny but now it's just annoying.
I sincerely hope we never have to listen to them announce a LSU game ever again, but I know that it will happen sooner or later. It doesn't help that Mr. fricking Red Hat stands on the field for 10 minutes a pop every time CBS broadcasts a LSU game.

Ever since the game of the century or whatever it was called and when lsu intercepted the ball and Verne just exclaimed "oh no!" Like his baby had just fallen into the pool. I hated him.
That being said. I don't think they are terrible announcers I just think they are somewhat unprofessional. And CBS games take 5 hours so I hate the network more than the announcers

I really like both of them. Just like everything else, you can't please everyone. I've enjoyed listening to Verne dating back to Masters coverage in the 80's. He doubt he would have made 50 years in broadcasting if he was so hated. I wasn't sure about Gary at first but I really think he is the top analyst in college football (along with Blackledge).

This. Verne says "OH NO" all the time. He says it in reference to many plays involving every team. Last year Bama fans were calling Finebaum to complain that Verne didn't like them b/c he said "OH NO" in reference to a particular play. It's just something he says like Dick Enberg saying "OH MY!".
