I went with some buddies. Got there at 3:15 am and we were 19th in line. We put in at 4:30, and surprisingly there weren't many people by us. We were on the west side. We only killed 4. Asked around and not many people were killing a lot. Some had 2, some 1, and some didn't kill any.

That's absurd, IMO. Every part of that post is absurd.

Lol I mean more boats than birds.

On the draw system I am pretty anti draw. Screw that I want to hunt when I want to. I'm hearing more greentrees are in the works at a few wmas. Should spread the hunters out some.

I've done some dumb shite in my day, but waiting in line to launch a boat at Wham Brake behind 18 others never was on the list, much less at 3:45am for a teal bird.

I guess some of my stories are just as absurd when it gets down to it, IF they were ever told.

It was pretty absurd, honestly. But we scouted weeks before and there were huge flocks of teal everywhere. But we still had fun just messing around, so I'm not mad about it or anything. I'd do it again. College memories man.

Ya I would probably do it if I knew we would be stacking green heads but not for teal

I completely understand that. My disdain for Wham Brake is due to my Dad having 1,000 acres leased from IP on the South End during my high school and college years. I hunted Alligator Brake for ten years or so for ducks and would laugh my arse off at the necks waiting to launch a boat at that ramp. I would pass them all, unlock and lock the gate, then come out an hour later with several limits.

Don't get me wrong, I've waded through Sage off Pump Road at 3am numerous times, but that was always for big ducks. Most of those times we put our camo on leaving the Library Lounge and catch a power nap an hour before daylight in our hole. That was a very absurd time in my life.

I hunted Alligator Brake

there was never a traffic jam there when I was there, though.
