In the New York Times/ CBS poll released on September 7th, the most recent one out there, he (McMorris) has just 1% of the Nov. 4th vote among 867 "likely" voters.

In that poll, Cassidy leads Landrieu 36-33, with Republican Maness getting 10%, Republican Thomas Clements getting 2%, Democrat Don Reaux getting 2% and McMorris 1%.

If that poll is accurate, Landrieux would more likely be stopped from reaching 50%+1 on Nov. 4th by a fellow Democrat as by McMorris.

Of the remaining 16%, 11% are undecided, 3% lean Landrieu and 2% lean Cassidy.

Thus even if Landrieu were to get ALL of the undecideds and the ones who lean toward her, she would still come up short of that 50%.

Don't worry. Most of the peoples want a Republican, not a Libertarian.

I completely disagree. I believe most Republicans are actually libertarians...they just don't know it because they fail to take the time to really understand the libertarian position.

This guy should run for a state seat first. Try and get name recognition.

Mother-freaking this.

I've suggested this multiple times to the "leaders" of the Libertarian Party in Louisiana. I try to tell them that right now, it is impossible to win a Congressional seat. They cannot raise the money to compete, and their energy would be best spent trying to build a base through local seats and pool together monies for a State Legis seat.

The response I'm given every time is that I'm a sheeple who only looks at money. (Nevermind media buys, to introduce yourself to voters, costs money).

Wrong. Most Republicans CLAIM to favor libertarians. In reality they are emotionally manipulated into being party first. It's similar to blacks and the Democratic party.

That doesn't mean I'm wrong...It just means that there are reasons why they vote the way they do. they are still libertarians deep down.

Libertarians have done a piss poor job of making their positions known. Most people think of Libertarian's as the legalize pot and Anarchy Party.

I agree with most of it.

But saying "reduce spending" without being specific is a copout.

I didn't even know his name until tonight. Republicans better hope he fails to get his message out because if he draws even 5% Mary goes back for sure.

that is what is wrong with the libertarian candidate for Senate. I am a libertarian but getting Mary out is more important than getting a libertarian in.

Voting libertarian has zero impact on whether or not Mary stays or goes. You're just a tool for one of the 2 political machines and you are certainly not a libertarian.
