First thing I'd do is create a deadlift routine everybody would be mandated to perform.
If we're gonna suck, we're gonna be the strongest suck bags on the bayou.
Then, if we continued to lose every game, I would institute an old tradition, that of prima nocta, across all of thibodaux.

That'll teach those nerds to lose every GD game they play.

How much recruiting budget do they need really? Recruit the hell out of La and Miss.
Just need an energetic young coach.
Or an old guy who hires young recruiters.

Everyti e they made playoffs lost to eventual national champs

Athletic Dept. receives all of the proceeds from ticket sales to the air it out session of the Manning Passing Academy, about $15,000. That's it. Basically, the athletic dept. operates on less than a shoe string budget. Ticket sales revenue for the entire year for all sports is less than $100,000. Not much fan support. Even with the rent-a-win games, not enough money being generated by the entire department to have decent programs. Maybe Nicholls should look for a new Athletic Director as well.

Charlie Stubbs resigned. Chuck Hepola is the interim.

Problem starts with the athletic director, who's actually a friend of my dads, and i'm a friend of his daughter.

They need to cater their schedule more around LSU's schedule, as much as possible. I know it's not easy to do, but you can't play home games at night when LSU is, it's just dumb. People will always prefer to watch LSU on tv than go to a NSU game. I haven't been to a game since i was a kid, but i remember running on the field after the games, which is why i always wanted to go as a kid. Doubt they let anyone on the field anymore, even though it's turf now.

Biggest thing to get a crowd there is scheduling as best you can around LSU though. We've told the AD this before and he said they try, but it's not easy.

Their budget can't be that small. they played Air Force and Arkansas this year and Oregon last year or something like that. They had to be getting at least 400k from arkansas and oregon. The basketball team has been traveling to big venues as well, not that that brings in as much as football does.

I remember when they made the playoffs the first time and had to play at Montana (eventual champs). They had to ask LSU to donate equipment so they could play in the cold.
Back in the 90's they had great support in both football and basketball. They were good in both sports though. Those were good times as a kid going to those games, especially Ricky Broussard basketball in the 90's when they were really good.

Hud Jackson is the logical choice to me. He fits what they need.

They definitely need to shake things up. As a Houma/Thib native I would love for Nicholls to get his program up and running. Theres no reason why Nicholls cant build a program like Southeastern has....They can be on that level.

I paid to go on a road trip with the team. Sat 10 ft from the AD and was around him all weekend and never once did he come over and introduce himself or talk to us. To me thats part of your job. Know the people who support your shitbox program That's pretty poor. Trickles down to the rest of your program.

He's not a real people person. I don't know how he's been in his role for as long as he has. It's been almost 15 years.

Someone said the same thing on the trip. That's fine, I know I'm not a big people person. But I make an effort especially when it's my job. Actually met some nice people on the trip. Me and the guy I was with were going to go introduce our selfs and talk to him but then we decided frick that if he's not concerned neither are we.
