I'm not suffering like they are. I'm living a pretty good life.

Well done, the worst logical fallacy you could use.

It's his name.

Is it a logical fallacy when people refer to Bush as "Dubya"?

So now American citizens fighting for ISIS and other terror groups are "innocent people"

Got it.

And as for saying murderous ideologies "often" or "usually" arise I'm poor places where people are ignorant and helpless, how is that not true?

I don't have a problem with what I read of Obama's speech, but I don't think it's true that the big time terrorists, including the 9/11 guys, are poor. Seem to remember they were well-educated and affluent.

All 12 men identified in the 1993 attack on the WTC had university educations.

Of the 25 9/11 hijackers and planners identified, give or take 18 had a university education, and a significant number were engineers (12, I think).

Was there anything else in particular they all had in common?

Eta: I didn't watch. It's bad enough that I was posting and driving. I don't need Obama pissing me off when I'm driving.

Neither Obama nor I said anything different, and he and I both think we should concern ourselves with more than just big-time terrorists.

The difference between Obama and me on this is that he may think that eradicating poverty, ignorance, and hopelessness will do more good than I do. But it is a factor worth mentioning a day after of 13 years after.

No one denies socioeconomics and poor conditions play a big factor in violence. The problem is when you consider that the only factor.

Seems to me that they may have shared the same belief system and followed the teachings of the same book.

Could such a thing influence violence? Is it possible?
