Yes, I think the RB's at LSU are taught to let the hole develop, then really turn on the jets.

But as far as LF returning kicks, I have to agree with the opening post--I don't really like the idea of his doing this. LSU has lots of team speed & they will depend upon Leonard a lot to carry the load on the offensive running plays, more & more as the season progresses. There are many more snaps on regular offensive plays, so I think he should focus on this area, where he can be most valuable to the team.

For years we hear complaints that Les isn't getting the ball to our young playmakers. Now we hear complaints that he IS!

With the way Hilliard is running I dont see LF getting more carries than him.
Also, you don't stop giving the ball to play makers for fear of them getting hurt.

I did not notice this when watching live, but you've got a point - there are three or four badgers falling over each other who look like they don't know what just hit them

If a few players would have actually blocked someone on that play he could have been gone.

I'm sure the Rant would have complained about Kevin Faulk returning the ball back in the 90s. The Rant sure bitched about Patrick Peterson returning the ball four years ago. Don't worry, these players aren't as fragile as you would like to believe.

The first guy he hit he absolutely destroyed. He was laying face down 3 yards back. LF ability to change direction and then accelerate is a thing of beauty and can't be taught or learned. God given.

all-time Rant fail is "Peterson is too heavy to play corner"

If any freshman should be returning kicks it should be Jamal Adams or Chark

Have you seen either one return enough kicks or even at all to make this assessment?

In the rants defense, you don't see many 220 lb guys with the hips to play corner. Its just to hard to react and turn and run when you weigh that much.

I guess once he returns a kickoff for a TD then we can lay off the worries..... However, I do agree that returning kickoffs is a potential for injury but it also allows the best player(s) on the field to be game changers. I'm o.k. with it. Just waiting for a score from our Heisman hopeful! Geaux Tigers!

You won't get slammed for "not worshiping" him, you are and will be getting slammed for being completely clueless.

I guess my question is are we putting him back there to make people happy

Yes, this is Pop Warner football and LF's dad gave Les a good deal on a used Toyota Tercell. Les owes him one.
