New neighbors came in two years ago and built a massive new house, but cut down half of the tree (on their side of the fence) to do it. Poor thing slowly started dying off, so I put it out of it's misery.

It's really nice fresh on draft. Had one at hay merchant.

At some point, I was under the impression that both Parish and Nola only filled their own growlers. It's a lame practice.

Not if you look at a growler a a marketing opportunity. Not saying its right or wrong, but it depends on what you value more.
I know Russian River gets a lot of shite for not filling other growlers, but at the end of the day I don't think the policy hurts them.
AND, they have some high-quality growlers so people are likely willing to buy them. I'm not a fan of the screw top growler so if forced with that decision, I'd likely pass unless the beer is VERY good. Posted on 9/10/14 at 7:58 pm to urinetrouble
