I have gone solo a few times but not often. The wife has a fit when i'm up there alone.

My grandpa lived on Raccourci Island 24/7 for years after he retired.
No phone calls or nothing. We would only see home when we went in the Fall.
It used to make me so nervous that something would happen to him back there since he had heavy equipment and used to maintain the roads in the summer.

I like to fish by myself in the marsh, so yes I do go to the camp solo. Hunting, never.

All the time. But I certainly let someone know where I'm at.

I go by myself but I keep the cell charged up and with me. I also show my wife a google earth image and show the area I'll be hunting and check in from time to time via text.

I think I know who you are now.

My buddy just bought a camp out there that was an Apache crew camp.

hijack over

I hunt by myself on the reg. Mainly deer hunting, but I have someone I can call if I need help. I just go somewhere where I can get a signal then its all good.

Solo hunting is getting few and far between now that little head is of age.

My mother hates when i go to the camp alone, but the wife doesnt mind. (insurance policy maybe)

Between my brother who gets to hunt with me for free and my 14 year old I dont really have to anymore. But I do hunt solo for turkey. Just bring my cell and let them know where I'm at.

I do but there are usually other members there. during bow in the middle of the week there is usually no one there. I am not as excited about being up there by my lonesome as I once was. As a matter of fact the last time I was up there alone I said I wasn't going up alone anymore.........until the next time nobody wants to go.

I go all the time by myself but I always make sure someone at least has an idea of where I will be hunting and what time to expect me back.

Enjoy it while you can brother! Hunt66jr is 18 now and his mind is on other things. Gives me a lot more time to hunt by self but I always like it when he says "Dad I am coming to the camp this weekend!"

All my buddies that I used to hunt with are off doing their own things now. We still get together for a few hunts a year, but I mainly hunt by myself at my place. My dad has given up on hunting altogether so its just little ole me. My two boys are getting old enough to go now, but an 8 and 6 year old aren't much help.
