I thought beckwith was a 4 or 5 star. Wisconsin 3 stars played better than him

Beckwith needs to be on the field.

If that means kwon moves over and debo jones plays outside I don't care

Kwon was calling out the plays and moving people into position all game anyways

Uhhh, what makes you think it wouldnt cost us the same with Welter in there? He is no better.

Of course he's better. Why do you think the coaches are playing him?

Beckwith was responsible for the A gap on the defensive right. The ball went to the defensive left. The safety blitzing from the slot was way late and created a huge hole. Great call by Wosconsin, poor blitz execution by LSU. Beckwith had no chance.

His gap? What are you talking about?

I never said anything about gaps. It really wasn't Beckwith's fault because we blitzed Martin to the outside and Riley from the other side. Mills was too deep as the only safety. Beckwith was left all alone and yes there was a lineman assigned to block him. It was a great call by Wisconsin set-up by our anticipation of outside runs.

Either way it's an obvious lead between the tackles. He was blocked towards the play if anything and could have made the tackle had he anticipated a basic play. I'm not saying it's easy, it just wasn't impossible, and until he makes those plays it's just conjecture to say it's clear that Chavis should start him.

For the most part, being held...

That is by no means whatsoever a holding penalty. He was wired. It is outstanding technique by the Wisconsin blocker.

A good LB can avoid being wired but it requires good instincts/anticipation/field vision, speed, good use of arms/technique, and strength.

The old "they're young" excuse doesn't fly with the linebackers...does it really take that long to get some consistent production? Or was the talent evaluation off with the exception of Kwon?

I started a thread about this earlier and it got the anchor.

1 solo tackle from your MLB is unacceptable, I don't give a shite who it is. In that thread a guy said he took Welter's numbers from his 14 starts and he's averaging less than 2 solos tackles a game. That's fricking terrible for a MLB.

Shut up, jackass. If you can't tell the linebackers have been inconsistent for a few years, you're the tard.
