When did they start playing calling Baton Rouge? I don't remember any piped in music in the late 90s when I was in school, but maybe I forgot. Maybe I'm old and out of touch, but I'd rather they stick with music from the band.

About six years ago.

I'll always remember LaFell starting a skirmish with UF in 2009 while Calling BR was playing when the Gators went to stomp on the eye in pregame warmups.

Players and recruits don't want to hear strictly the band. It's just the way it is.

Based on the video there wasn't much jumping. More like arm waving

Well what ole Pete does not understand is that the Tiger Band ALWAYS plays pre-game between the 3rd and 4th quarter...it wasn't just done to bust up the "jump around" little thing that Wisconsin does.

That and in Tiger Stadium they play Calling Baton Rouge either shortly before or after (I don't remember which) the pregame show, so the band isn't in the stands ready to play.

I like Calling Baton Rouge, I thought Wisconsin's Jump Around thing was pretty cool, and would probably be really cool for a big home game of theirs.

Calling Baton Rouge is always played before the players exit the field from warm ups ... so it's before the band marches onto the field.

I love the way the players group together towards the end of the song and run back into the tunnel at the end.

Hubs can't stand BIFL and frankly I don't care for it either. But whatever. And the Wisky people in that video -- yeah, even the old people were standing and jumping but it looks like they couldn't hang for the whole song. lol

Can we promise never ever to say Wisky again?
