yet we threw 15 passes in the first and 6 in the second.
very true. however what formations were the 6 in the second half thrown out of? I remember a few being 3 WR formations. I thought running and throwing out of those was really good.

jennings honestly should have had at least 3 more completions and who knows how long they could have gone for

Hopefully, everything will be better in game 2.

Judging a QB's stats after 1 game is a little like judging a starting pitcher's ERA after 1 game. Could be 0.00, could be 30. Tells little.

You can throw all the numbers you want on here. But there is NO WAY that Jennings played better than Hill or Prescott or Wallace. Take the 80 yard pass away and THEN look at Jennings #'s......

How the frick did you get that from what I said? All I'm saying is the most stupid argument in the world is take away this or take away that and look at the #s.

Cause Jennings needs to improve a whole lot For LSU to have the type of season they are looking for.....

Wasn't meant just for you... The people in this thread make it sound like he is the greatest QB we have ever had... I think he played like crap... OVERALL.. The only positive I got from it was that he didn't turn the ball over.. Some of his throws were horrible.

I'm gonna lock em in for top 5 SEC qb of the season not that you've said this..........

Bad news: 42% is low.
Good news: A few of the incompletions were screens, and should be very correctable.
3 screens and 2 or 3 dropped balls

I'll take 2 TDs, 0 INTs and a W all day long.

why would you take his biggest play he made away?
that was an elite throw on the run

His best throw of the night for sure.... BUT His over all play did not compare to QB's that have higher or lower #'s than him...

Jennings had a good, overall, performance vs. Wisconsin. Any wishing to discredit that overall performance by taking away this play or that play or looking at this quarter or that quarter are only high lightening their personal agenda or their lack of understanding when it comes to college football.
The numbers for 60 mins of football vs. a NR team was 240 yds passing, 2 TDs, 0 ints, 42% completion, 170 rating, and a win vs. a top 15 teams.
That's a good performance. Why some feel the need to nit pick it to death, is beyond me.

the offensive line was terrible in the first half and his targets were dropping passes. when they weren't dropping them, he over and under threw them a few times.
I think the offense and defense certainly "shook off the rust" after the first half. they were a different team in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Did you even watch him in the 2nd half?
