Great call...you are really good at talent evaluation so far.

Well, from what I saw you don't have a team for Dodd to start on anyway, so nobody gives a shite.

if so, that was a great environment to catch a game.

no way I would pass that up! Last meeting for the foreseeable future.

as for recruiting...
In my head only, I'm turning this into a positive for us (pipe dream type stuff). Huge game and rivalry for ND. And it is no more. Don't think those future games against UMass and Temple can quite replace it or match up to LSU v. Bama.

Yeah, Shea was at ND. He's also going to Auburn and USC in these early weeks of the season.

I can't lie either Dodd seems to be a bit of a disappointment from what I've seen him do in the drills and from some inside sources

Looked kinda fat Saturday night. Didn't really focus on his play in the game though.

He came in at center and we didn't have any major protection breakdowns. That says a decent amount about how he played.

If you play on the line and your name does not come up, it is more than likely a good thing haha They are the most overlooked and under appreciated guys on the field, but the most vital to success.

Yeah. I'm not trying to bad talk Pocic, but when he got plowed through against Wisconsin on one play, it reminds me of when he got plowed through last year against Arkansas. Porter had gotten hurt and Pocic was in there maybe 2, 3 plays at most. He is not a center, and way too tall for one anyway. I think when Porter come back next week, you guys will see a HUGE improvement of the OL. If Dodd can continue to improve at center, and we don't lose anybody early, we could set up pretty nice at OL next year. The / sign = either.

LT Hawkins 2 years start
LG Alexander 3 and a half years start
C Dodd
RG Brumfield/Boutte
RT Domond (1 year JUCO start)

If they all leave
LT Pocic
LG Brumfield
C Dodd
RG Boutte/Clapp
RT Domond

I worry about our line next year if those guys don't return. Hopefully the school will fund their insurance plans to come back a final year.

The ONLY thing keeping Pocic from being the starting LT next year is injury.

I took a ride up Notre Dame way a couple of years ago..to South Bend...what a dump of a town...I mean a real dead end place...take out N.D. and there is absolutely nothing left...I wouldn't even consider spending one year there, much less four! jmho
