She had already demonstrated her pattern to everyone so let her hang by it. Like others suggested, she needs to get caught spreading false information. You could also have a client complain about her. You and others could file formal complaints about her, noting what she says about everyone including management.

This.
Also keep track of how much aggregate time is wasted trying to clear up her bogus complaints and attach a dollar amount to it. Bosses can't argue with numbers especially when it comes to wasted money.

If you really want her gone, you guys need to do some detective work.,
take a day off, and follow her all day. Video tape her, hope she hangs herself.
Or hire a Private detective to do the leg work for you.

A while back i had to work on an 18 month project with a cranky old man who bitched non stop and went to management over every perceived slight. He had family in the board of directors and was 3 years from retirement so he wasn't going to fired. He had run off everybody else that had been forced to work with him and i was the only one there even remotely capable of putting up with him. Of course it helped that everybody knew he was full of shite (including my boss). So i just tuned him out and did my time.
Seems to me that your boss is aware that her claims are baseless and you have said that you like the job more than you hate dealing with her. So just wait it out and she will get hers. Right now her boss is running out the clock and DGAF, but just wait till he leaves and she has to report to a boss that doesn't have one foot out the door and doesn't want to deal with her incessant whining. She will either change her tune or get shown the door.

If this isn't possible, send her porn & other questionable materials through the mail to the office.
This is actually pretty easy to do. You can sign-up for all kinds of free catalogs online. Go to sex toy websites & sign her up for free catalogs. Go to any book store or go to the magazine section at walmart or your local grocery store. What happens when u pick up a magazine??? Those fricking subscription cards fall out. Collect a bunch of those from magazines with questionable material (High times, porn magazines, ect.) or if you just wanna piss her off, just get a bunch of those cards from any magazine. now on those cards you can just fill in her name & your work address & check "bill me". 2 months from now she is gonna have a copy of a frickload of magazines & no idea where they came from. they will send the bill in her name to your office which is sure to stir up shite...
I have actually done this to several people & it's pretty damn funny to watch someone try to cancel a subscription to 50 magazines over the course of a month...
