I enjoyed the hell out of that movie.

Better than TDK by a county mile

Kobe's better, no doubt, but to say he's better than MJ by a country mile is a slight stretch. Glad to see you're coming around though

You may want to rethink how you read that since I said "Kobe is to MJ"

You may want to rethink how you think I am rethinking your statement as I was stating that something more recent (ie GotG) was better than something older (ie TDK) to set the context. You then said someone newer (ie Kobe) is not close to someone older (ie MJ) as well.
Thanks for agreeing.

i went to go see get on up the same day i saw GOTG. it is probably the best movie that came out this year no one gives a shite about. Really good movie. if that movie comes out any other week it's at the top of the charts.

To which movie are you referring?

A country mile is much longer than a real mile.

There may have been "better" movies that came out this year, but GotG might be the most entertaining. This is not to knock something like Winter Soldier, that was a great movie.
But GotG was a fun movie. It was funny when it tried to be. Thrilling when it tried to be. Even heart tugging when it wanted. Hitting all three marks is darn impressive. The movie just worked.

This. This was not high-minded, cinematic tour-de-force movie seeking to move cinematography to a higher art form, it was a pure, broad-based entertainment piece designed to keep the viewers' attentions and make them leave the theater feeling the ticket price was well worth it.
Just sitting here thinking about it... I kind of want to go see it again.

it's basically the pinnacle of an entertaining/fun adventure movie suitable for kids (and engaging our inner child)

Finally saw it yesterday and it was fantastic from start to finish. I don't think I've laughed more in a Marvel movie before.
Easily my favorite comic movie by a mile.
