I don't anyone is arguing he is lighting the world on fire, I am definitely not.
But I think your judgement of him is misplaced because he set the bar pretty high for himself his first year.
I also think a large part of the blame should be on Jay Gruden who clearly proved he was not a good OC based on his shitty play calling while in Cincy, specifically last year.
