my uncle has. although admittedly it was many years ago. but in 2012 i went to fish in bayou des glaises and was warned again (by his sister, who lives on the blacktop in big bend) not to launch in the grass near one of the bridges because someone had tacked it recently.

They are some different people up that way. For some reason driving along that levee, I yet to see some dude playing a banjo on the porch. Guess they can't learn that.

Been kind of dry here. went in the woods with my daughter last week and the bottoms are drying up.

My pond is 6' low now, but I'm trying to get it lower. Haven't pumped any water at all this summer. I need to redig some spots if I can get my backhoe in.

that's how they feel about pomme de terre and the whole rest of the parish too.

We've done good in the bayou in the past but honestly last time I went, three of us fished hard from sunup til noon and came home with 2 bass and 3 goggleye. And fished belson the whole afternoon for zero fish. And all three of us were experienced bass fisherman. I don't know what was wrong that weekend but if there were any fish around they sure didn't want to eat anything.
