Our basketball team this year could potentially be the best team in Tech history.
We could easily surge back to being the #2 football program in the state. Last year we were about 10 players short of the 85 scholarship limit because of the amount of graduating scholarship players after the 2012 season. Even this year we are a few players short of the 85. That lack of depth hurts. Sonny fricked us with all his JUCO's. Last year was going to be awful, this year will be better but still be awful. I would expect to start seeing improvement starting next year when we aren't playing at a scholarship disadvantage and Skip can get players that fit into his style of offense as opposed to Sonny's air raid.

I really used to hate you frickers from the 24 years i lived in monroe but after living around Lafayette for awhile has made me want everyone in the state to kick the Cajuns' arse in everything

I hate the rest of the state. frick this state unity BS that people want between Us, ULM, ULL and Tulane. We compete for recruits in all sports. We compete for the casual fan. Screw that, I want the rest of y'all to lose. I don't pull for rivals.
My hate isn't very strong though. We suck in everything but basketball so it really doesn't ruin my day when one of the other three lose. Also, I used to get riled up with ULL/ULM trolls but it's become to common and I'm used to it.
I'm gonna poke fun in the ULM/ULL threads and I expect the same back. It's all in good fun

I must have mellowed a little after hitting 40 because i dont get fired up like i used to. Its still fun to mess with in state rivals, especially when they're down but otherwise its all in fun.......

I wish ULM and Tech would play in football but in addition to the financial issues and petty arguments, the arse kickings Tech gave ULM in the later games didn't help matters either. I do believe Tech thinks they are better than ULM or ULL for that matter. Tech has themselves in a better position in CUSA but it's too bad some of the teams like Tulane and Tulsa left.
