the farthest I've thrown was 50 yards(college ball). I have thrown on one knee 35 yards.. There is a guy on here that I've seen throw a 60 yard duck..

I messed up my shoulder and now might be able to hit 45-50. Its more being scared. I can catch one better than 90% of the people in the world though. Never drop it.

I have a decent arm, but I have trouble gripping an NFL ball. I honestly don't know how far I can throw, though.

And, of course, my first post about throwing it 65 yards and such was a joke. JIC anyone wants to take it seriously.

For reference, here is how some NFL quarterbacks did in the QB Long Distance Challenge

Joe Flacco - 71 yards
Chad Henne - 67 yards
Matt Ryan - 62 yards
Josh Booty - 60 yards
Aaron Rodgers - 70 yards

Oh, OT, OT, OT...

Last time I checked it was 43-46 yds. I hadn't thrown for about 5 years when I did that and my arm hurt so bad I will never air it out again. Freshmen yr in high school I could throw from sideline to sideline with one step.

Everyone saying they can toss a NFL ball 50+ yards, please go video tape yourself and post it like the guy that video taped himself running a mile barefoot while smoking after chugging a beer.

And some of us were very athletic and still are. I weigh 50 lbs more than I did in high school and had a well above average arm in high school. Im bigger and stronger now and Im still athletic. I could throw a high school ball well over 50 yards at that time. An NFL football is slightly heavier and has a larger circumference and I have smaller hands so cant grip it as well. We threw an NFL football a few wks ago at the In-Laws house and we were throwing stretches well over 40 yards. That's really not that far.

I'm wondering if people really believe themselves. People should really mark out 50 true yards, not 50 of their steps, and then grab an NFL football and give it the 'ol college try.

The sad thing is that even after the NFL QBs' numbers were posted, there are still several morons reading this thread believing that they can still throw 55 yards.

We have one guy who can "only" throw it 45-50 after his shoulder injury.

Define "well over 50 yards"

go to an NFL game early and watch the ball boys throw the ball back to the kicker/punter when they are practicing. Just normal people throwing an NFL ball 30-40 yards with ease. It's really not that hard for anyone that played sports growing up that knows how to throw football properly.

or go in the street in front of your house. Measure out 10 yards. then 20, then 30. You'd be surprised how short that truly is.

I can throw a baseball about 70 yards in the air, and that's chunking it. With a football I'm lucky if it goes past 30 yards.

So you can throw a baseball 210 feet. That's not very far. That's shallow center field to home plate with no bounce. With a small crow-hop that's not very hard to do at all.
