Agree with that. Hate the 49ers, but Jm Harbaugh is an excellent coach.

I had to scroll up and do a double-take. The #8 got me good.

4. Andy Reid (KC)

Lost 3 straight NFC Championship games and then when he finally gets to the Super Bowl, loses that.

should be above Reid. At least his teams have won a couple of rings.

T-6. Mike McCarthy (GB)
T-6. Mike Tomlin (PIT)

McCarthy's team won a ring, and Tomlin as well. Plus Tomlin made it to another one two years later.

None of the others, except for John Harbaugh, have a ring. I think that all of the above should be above Reid.

1. Sneaky Pete - Seattle is going to pwn again this year
2. SP - see Saints 2012
3. Darth Hoody - No SB since 2004
4. Pleated Pants - SF has been one of the best teams in the NFL every season he's been there
5. Pleats' brother - 9 playoff wins since 2008
6. Mike McCarthy - Sean Payton esque, has ring
7. Mike Tomlin - 2 rings
8. Kool Aid Man - Made KC and Alex Smith relevant
9. Chip Kelly - can't dispute his offensive genius, bigger things to come
10. Bruce Arians - 2012 Coach of the Year, AZ would've been a playoff team in the AFC last year

Probably not.

They'll still be good but they can't get away with what they got away with last year.

They're the only team in the NFL this preseason that hasn't been called for a defensive holding penalty

Well, they are the best team in the NFL and didn't lose much off last year's team, so...

People are mad that the Seahawks played that fine line that separates aggressive defense and penalties.

I wouldn't say I'm mad. I think it was smart.

But they openly admitted that refs just weren't going to call holding on every play, so...they held on every play. They were extremely "aggressive" in the secondary. They won't be able to get away with that this year.

They'll still be one of the best teams in football, but I wouldn't bet on them repeating. Just too difficult in this era.

No.
They lost some talent. They have a huge target on their back. You wonder how hungry they will be a year after winning it all. There are too many very good teams in the NFC -- Saints, 49ers, Philly. You've got Denver and Indy in the AFC to contend with. And you have to be so lucky to win a Super Bowl, it's just hard to get the chips to fall right for you a second year in a row.
I just don't see the Seahawks repeating this year. I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening.

Reid was solid at philly for over a decade and the chiefs won 11 or 12 games last year

No more than every other NFL team. You could even make the argument they lost less than the average team. Tate was their biggest loss, and I don't even think that was a major one.

I am continually perplexed as to why Tom Coughlin is always ranked so high. I just do not get it all.

His teams are almost always mediocre. He won two SBs on teams that barely made the playoffs but squeaked it out in the postseason.

I just don't think he's anything special as a coach at all. Its not like his teams go 12-4 every year.

I'd put Coughlin in the 3rd tier honestly.
