Not even top 5 for me. It was a solid show, but I wasn't blown away like everyone else. Way overrated IMHO.

Not 'way' overrated but I do think it's a little overpraised. I think it was a lot of people's first exposure to quality network drama. Brilliant writing and acting, but I thought there were some dry spells and some plot lines that either added up to nothing or were preposterous (ie the plane crash).

It's my favorite after watching the wire, Sopranos, GOT, Mad Men, Deadwood etc. I know people might like other shows more and for good reason but I think it's certainly the greatest non hbo drama of all time.

Mad Men is shite.

I'm sorry, I had to say it. It gets so much hype and I've tried 3 times to get into the series but it just screams meh to me

Disagree that BB is GOAT.

The Wires or Sopranos for me. Not sure which.

Sopranos was supposedly the best before the Wire, before Breaking Bad before Mad Men...

I haven't seen any of those.

In my defense, I can't watch mob centric films or shows. I despise the culture and its glorification.

Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all time, as of now.

I don't know what genre I'd classify Game of Thrones - maybe a modern day epic? - but it has a chance to blow everything else out of the water when it's all said and done.

The characters alone make The
Wire
the best, IMO. Also, the quotability of The Wire is second to none.

I like Mad Men more than Breaking Bad. I know I'm the exception.

truth. nothing will ever top the wire. to be honest, i don't think anything can jump ahead of sopranos for 2nd place.
