Destiny doesn't offer anything I'm not already playing on PC.
I'm glad the consolers finally got something with some scale (maybe) to play, but quit trying to pretend we're crying over here.

Stout, serious question. How long between your PC upgrades? Say you upgrade now, how long will it be before you pay this $195 for another upgrade?

I could make it 5-6 years very easily with my current build.
I upgrade and build new builds often because I like to do it. It's a hobby I, and many other PC enthusiasts, enjoy.
The cost of upgrading is also greatly offset by how much cheaper the games are.

I don't think many are horribly ported but it definitely still happens. Consoles are going to be the lead platforms for the majority of games in development. I still think the optimization of having to design for one sets of specs allows the developers to do more.

I agree with that but even then more power is going to make up for other shortcomings in design to a degree.
BTW, what's funny is I said the same thing about Xbone having less powerful specs but still figured the games would be about on par between both consoles because devs only would be able to optimize. I have been wrong on that. The PS4 has outshined so far in games heads up which again means more power >>>
