Some options / suggestions that have been presented:

Change to a dynasty format. This seems to be popular with just about everyone. Getting there is the hard part. There are some options.

We play this year out and cut keepers down. I know there are some of you that want to keep a player or players. My suggestion, if we did this, would be to allow everyone to keep 1 player. If we are trying to make this thing competetive going forward, then a team starting off with Durant and Lebron already has a huge advantage over everyone else.

There is an option to redraft completely after this year. We play the year out and next season we do a complete redraft with the understanding that we're going to a dynasty draft and that we'll only have rookie drafts going forward.

Some want to start a redraft this year, however guys like Honk, Jake, and Karma that have built up draft picks and keepers they want to roll with this year.

There's also talk of Toula starting a league. Some have said they'll likey join that league and I assume leave this one, so we need to figure this stuff out.

Another sugestion I had would be to allow outcome of the consolation bracket determine draft order, ex winner gets top pick, ect.

What do you think about the suggestions above? What would be your preference or do you have anything else in mind?

That's a question for everyone really.

I dont see why this would be a big deal starting in 2015. Everyone who has built these super teams still get to keep their players. Draft pick trading becomes obsolete.

I guess this would be a good option if changes are met with opposition.

Lets add 3 keepers this year and 2 next and go with a 10 keeper dynasty league. Why do we need to start from scratch?

I like the idea of the consolation bracket, although I'm not sure it will keep teams from selling out. I never tanked for the purpose of getting a higher draft pick.. It was just a matter of selling my assets to get picks. I don't think anyone has the mindset of yea I'm gonna make the shittiest team possible so I can get 1st pick (well.. Maybe karma)

FWIW I stayed pretty active on the wire and set my lineup down the stretch.

This year or next year?

I think that if we are trying to make the league more competitive it's tough starting a dynasty league when one team is stacked already.

I like Honk's idea of 3 keepers this year, 2 going into next year with the understanding that it will be a dynasty league going forward, personally.

The best way to create a dynasty league is a slow build over 5 years or so, not just jump right in from a redraft.

We're basically half way there. Just need to settle on final #. Maybe add 3, 2 and 2 and stop at 12?

12 is a good number for max keepers. If we wanted to, we could say that you have to cut your roster down to 12 and you can cut down below that if you want. Those that do will get a pick or picks at the end of the draft. Then it wouldn't be a draft limited to just rookies, which is fine. Most would probably keep their standard 12.

Or we could just set it at a hard 12 for everyone.

Couple thoughts real quick.
I'm not starting a dynasty league to kill this one.. I'm still in for both.

I'll be voting against any serious format and keeper changes in this league. I'm all for pick trade and tank reform.

At least for this season, there can't be serious changes, everyone needs at least one year building under same rules.

We did same thing with TDFL several years ago. Just scratched the keeper league and started from scratch in a better format.

I'm wanting a 2nd hoops league. That's why I plan on starting another and seeing if it'll fill.

Im split on this issue. I understand the reasoning for not wanting a redraft, especially for teams with great keepers that made moves last year based on our current league, but if were gonna do a dynasty league It would be nice for every team to start off even. Teams like Slow and Knat would without a doubt have an advantage if we just add keepers to the current format.

I would play in both leagues if Toula starts up the dynasty league, but it would be ideal to just have one league.

ETA: rename thread "Rondo wins too often under current format....how do we change that?"

ETAA: I like the idea of keeping one guy after this year and then redrafting

What I meant was I wouldn't want to join a dynasty league that immediately jumps to 12 keepers after year 1. Slowly build it up to a dynasty league. And since we are halfway there, why not just add a few keepers each year?

And if you're saying those of us with better picks this year have an unfair advantage if we increase keepers, maybe we can just add 2 keepers this year and 3 next.. To mitigate that effect a little bit.

The more I think about it the more I would rather just play this season out and then just completely redraft next year.

Im not gonna lie and say I would be excited about moving to a dynasty league where one team has Lebron and Durant and another has AD and KLove.
