Other than that, there's nothing that stands out about him now over Williams

Well, the dude is 230 lbs and finished 1st in Class 4-A in the 100 by running a 10.68. He was named track MVP as well. You just don't see that. His balance and coordination for his size is awesome too. He ran for 255 yards against top ranked John Curtis last year and caught the winning 2-point conversion. He is the only person to ever be named Louisiana Mr. Football twice.

The truth is that you never know what a person will do because the SEC is a huge step up. However, he has some rare tools that could make him a rare player.

That right there is the difference between a sure thing and a 'maybe' like Ridley was coming from the MS private school league. 200 yds on a JC defense is enough to realize the dude is ready for big boy ball.

I'm still puzzled how they initially offered Sione ahead of him. Style wise, it didn't make any sense. I have to wonder if LSU gave Sione a hint that ended up with him going to Stillwater.

Just noticed your username

Ok State got us on that one. They wanted him way more than us and it showed, understandably so. He's in a good program with a good coach and I think he'll excel there. Should be fun to watch.

That's a good attitude, and one that I share. Yet something tells me most LSU fans will be MAD if Williams exceed Fournette.

LSU signs most highly decorated high school running back in years and the fans take 1 of 2 actions is response:

1. Anoint him the GOAT before his first carry
2. Eat him alive and say the other back in his class is already better before either of their 1st carries

The legend of the rant lives on

so you think Leonard will be the better RB because he's faster and more atheletic?
Not sure why this is so funny. These are 2 of the most important aspects to a runningback, and a good test of who is going to be better at the next level. Especially because it's not like LF is small.

Williams has more quickness (burst speed) and has shiftier footwork.
No he doesn't...

There's also the unfortunate fact that thoroughly hyped 5-star skill players underperform relative to expectations far more often than not.
This is a stupid thing to say. This is just because retarded fanbases like the one we have, have ridiculous expectations. 5stars still have a greater chance of doing well than 4stars or 3stars historically.

While he looks great for an 18 year old, this isn't like Lebron James coming out of HS and still being dramatically bigger, stronger faster than all the other pro players.

Dude. LF is like 6'1" @ 230 and runs a sub 4.5

I don't recall damn near ANY back with those measurables.

However, I think we could be looking at a DMAC/Felix jones type situation.

You never can tell about the potential of football signees. In 1982 LSU signed Garry James, Karl Bernard, Gill Fenerty(later tranferred to Holy Cross)and Dalton Hilliard.Hilliard later became the best of the lot and one of the best LSU running backs to ever play for LSU.Only time will tell.
