A couple of days ago, trackfan said he wanted Obama to nominate Holder for the Supreme Court. He said Holder would make a great SCOTUS justice.
I contend that he was trolling because I have more respect for trackfan than to believe that he was being truthful.

I heard similar things about the Zimmerman case. I supported Zimmerman (after hearing much of the facts).

But, the country was going to burn.....Holder was gonna indict...blah blah

He isn't going to have any legal fees.

Yup

As you (I think) said, he's got the union hook up.

People ( Republicans) are donating money for a (completely useless) cause, to prevent ( a white guy from being railroaded) injustice.

Well, I never thought about this angle, but now that you mention it . . . . hmm.

See, I can respect this sort of reasoning. You're not a fan of Holder, but you're not going to get your panties in a bunch over trivial nonsense.

What's ironic is that when Holder was the U.S. Attorney for D.C., he got slammed by liberals for turning a blind eye to police misconduct while police shootings of unarmed citizens doubled on his watch.

Trackfan, I noticed that you sidestepped the matter of whether or not you were trolling when you said that Holder would make a great SC Justice.

You and I both know you weren't trolling. Care to confirm that?

I think I already settled this with NavyTiger74. Yes, I do fantasize about Obama sticking it to Angry White Guy by putting Holder on the SCOTUS, but I also realize that as President, Obama can't afford to let these kind of emotions affect his decision making.

EDIT: Here's what liberals are saying about Obama's handling of the Ferguson shooting:

Michael Eric Dyson: Obama’s remarks on Ferguson are tone deaf and disappointing

Marc Lamont Hill: Obama, can't you see black anger in Ferguson?

If Black liberals think Obama's behaving like an Uncle Tom, and White conservatives think he's behaving like a Black militant, race-baiter, he's probably positioned himself just where he needs to be regarding the Michael Brown shooting. As the saying goes, sometimes, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

This board was pretty much in full retard mode right around then.

Did I say "right around then"? Cuz there are still probably people here that consider GZ a "hero" , but still want/expect a federal hate crime charge. *cough* Cpt *cough*

Good question

I do know that 30 days ago, this board hated cops.

Now it loves them

Never ceases to amaze me. Some of you still think any opinion posted is the collective opinion of "this board."

Is this the "charity" that conservatives do more than liberals - paying for other people's future legal settlements?

He's going to be not guilty at a criminal trial. He will be found liable in a civil trial. In irony of ironies - most of the donate money is actually going to wind up being paid to Brown's family. Book it.

Fwiw there was a thread on the 4chan poliboard about a week or so ago to organize people in order to get more donations for the cop than the dead guy just to make libs/white guilters rage. Looks like it worked.

You're right. He was on the job so it is more likely the PD will get sued. Wilson may even be protected from all liability on the job.

My bad.

Why would I be raged about that? Wilson needs the money a lot more than Brown at this point. I hope he gets the best defense possible.

If Wilson is found not guilty, the city of Ferguson will be liable for any civil damages, not Wilson. This isn't an OJ or George Zimmerman, where the alleged murderer was a private citizen acting on his own.
