went to the mexican pappa's for lunch recently and got one of their "lighter" lunch selections.

And you still probably spent $19 + tip, right?

Their prices are crazy. I better be at El Tiempo or Hugos if I'm spending that much for lunch.

One of the better places to eat at hobby.

Yep.

Good Lobster Bisque, crab cakes and cobb salad with crabmeat.

Houston's Red Lobster would be Landry's

Nah, Houston has their own Red Lobsters and they aren't even close to Landry's Kemah Boardwalk location.

Pappadeaux has always been pretty solid although I agree that Goode Co. is probably a better choice.

Same I ate it and felt like I needed to go run for a few hours.

Pappdeaux is the weakest of their concepts in my opinion, however, thier restaurantst make 100% of their food 100% from scratch, up to an including mayonnaise. For the volume they do, it's mind boggling how well they execute. The Ted Lobster comment is ridiculous. I call on corporate restaurant chains all over the US and very few operate like Pappas. Great Company!

Have eaten Pappadeaux's seafood on Katy Fwy twice and both were almost perfect. Very good meals. As chains go they're as good as it gets.

If you took the name off and gave it some local name no one would be criticizing it. Very good restaurant.

Love most anything Pappas Co, very consistent location to location and chain to chain. We stop at Pappadeaux's in Beaumont for a highway meal most any HTown trip, massive portions of well prepared fried cajun food. And strong salads(including Greek) with as mentioned homemade Ranch BC,etc..dressings.
