Well if it was dismissed then is it on his record since he was never convicted? If he was never convicted, can he be expunged? Seems like dismissed is worse than convicted and expunged in this instance.

The way I understand it if it's dismissed the charges and arrest still show up on record.
If expunged then it won't.
Usually the expunged cases are minors IIRC.

My PI and Drinking In Public charges (both dismissed) still show up on my record (both not when I was a minor, arrested and jail time for the first, no arrest or jail for the other)

They're dismissed, and I filed for an expungement of the arrest record in July. Lawyer said the process could take up to 3 months.. And third business day would be the 6th technical day I guess. Purchased yesterday, today's Friday, suppose to pick it up on Wednesday. So 6 days but just 3 business days.

same thing happened to me last year buying a shot gun...went back the next week and they sold me the gun

i have always walked to the counter, bought paid for the gun.. filled out paperwork, and walked out the door. I have never had to wait. And i have purchased alot of guns 
but..
what made you decide to buy a legal one this time?

They will always put me on hold but the Mrs can walk out the door with as many as she can tote. I don't even try anymore just let her fill out the paper work

a bit strange. 7 is a lot. did you provide social? Ive found that when people don't put their social, it almost never goes to further review or gets delayed. I always get an immediate Proceed. Usually delays are a few days at most
Maybe MS is weird. at least you can still get it. just wait it out
