I was the first time I flew in my dad's Cessna when I was 6. Don't be a pussy.

No.

The ability to fly is one of the biggest breakthroughs in human history and a worldly treasure. It opened up the whole world to the average person.

I love flying and feeling the G forces push you back into the seat on the take off roll up is always fun and a powerful feeling you will always take note of. You're going to be amazed at seeing how these metal monsters fly when you experience it for the first time ever.

My best flight ever is one of my erliest flying memories ever and it stuck with me. It was a non stop from New Orleans to New York on US Airways and it was so damn light for a huge plane (757 I think) and they let me and my family sit in first class. We took off and I see the sunrise at 30,000 feet in the air and it lulled me to sleep as I kicked the seat back.

I've never been on a plane before and I'm pretty terrified, mainly because I feel a lack of control. I know the comparison to driving and what not, but I have a certain amount of control on the read that I don't in the air.

When you are driving you have no control over the other car than runs the light or stop sign and T-bones in to you, when you are cruising down a two lane highway at 60 mph you have no control over the on coming car with only a few feet separating you from a head on collision with a closing speed of 120 mph, the list goes on, you really have less control over what my happen to you everyday than you think.

How many people you do you cross going 50 plus mph? Talk about putting a lot of trust that they won't cross the center line and hit you head on. Want to talk about "lack of control?"

I was on a plane one time.. Dude next to me was white-knuckling the arm rest and I was like, "Are you ok?" He said, panicked.. "I just don't believe in flight" as we took off and I, without missing a beat said, "Well, look out the window... Believe it or not, we're flying"

Your loss dude. They're great for people watching and the the really nice ones are must experience. I can't wait to try out the new terminal they'll be building at MSY.

Btw, how did your first time flying go?

I'm not afraid of flying. I'm claustrophobic so that usually makes flying not as enjoyable though.

I love traveling though. And I actually don't mind airports either...assuming it's a decent airport though that has decent shops, variety of places to eat, a Starbucks, and at least one bar. (looking at you BR airport with your one shitty "café" after you get through security)

How do you feel about trains, boats, or amusement park rides?

Never been on a train, I can swim, and I ride amusement park rides but I don't like the heights.

It's probably because you don't like heights and haven't flown much.

I'm sure this is it

One of my friends brought a coffee table book on a flight to NOLA a few years ago, "Greatest Air Disasters." Pulled it out when the plane was taxiing for takeoff. LULZ

How old are you?

Why have you never flown before? No reason to? Always been scared?

My hands are on the wheel. I feel like I have control, I didn't say it was accurate.

Stewardesses back when

"Flight Attendants" now

I bet in the 60's and 70's a lot of people got over their fear of flying.

I've never had a reason to. And if I did, I wouldn't have let flying stop me.

How did you get over your fear of flying? Are you still scared and you just deal with it?

I told my doctor and he gave me Valium. I use to have to fly for my gig all the time so it was a great help.

Gotcha. Just curious.

Don't forget gum for takeoff(helps you pop your ears during takeoff).

I am a very nervous flyer. I know I have to fly as it's the most practical way to get places, but I would never fly again if I could help it.

You do not want to be next to me on a plane if I don't have access to my ativan or copious amounts of alcohol.
