Literally everything you've said in this thread.

Claiming Flynn > Russell is downright laughable and I refuse to believe you're actually being serious.

Everybody I talked to after game said we were fricked if he had to play Alabama again.
There were lots disappointed LSU fans that night about how miles handled qb play that night.
I was embarrassed for JLEE, as were many others.

not really.

A good friend of mine came to see a game that year. He played in the NFL for a stint. Saw one drive and started laughing. He said there was no way JR had any clue what the defense was running.

Literally his athleticism gave him the edge, and that was it. We all see how that turned out for him.

I see this from the JJ apologists all the time.

JL had one of the best runs in all of LSU QB history to start that season in completions without an int, and led the SEC in passing efficiency.

Saying he sucked so you can feel better about the abysmal play of JJ isnt accurate.

He did great, but the offense was very low risk. He was shellshocked after his stint in the game in Tuscaloosa. I appreciate his time with the Tigers, but Saban had his number when it came to disguising coverages....

Was considered the consensus #1 pick. Baltimore Ravens were extremely high on him. Led the BCS in passing efficiency. Won the Manning award.

Brandon Jacobs and Frank Gore play in the NFL...

Lee won that SEC title, do you remember JJs stats for that sec champ game?

4-16 89 total yds 2 turnovers

My point remains, Lee> jmarc and Mett using that logic.

And jmarcs worse game of his career was that UF game in 06. I'm just saying 06 lost to the eventual bcs champs not fricking kentucky.

Well he is actually still in the NFL, so it's not a stretch to say Flynn is >

Lol. He managed. He wasnt lighting up the stat column. Besides everyone argues it was the d and special teams that made that team go. Not the offense. I thought both qbs did what we wanted them to in every game but bama, limit costly turnovers.

His stats and the 20+ wins he had as a starter seem to indicate he knew a thing or two about how to play the game of football. His 2006 season was the best season for an LSU QB in my lifetime, and I'm inclined to believe it's one of, if not the best season in LSU history.

Oh, but congrats on knowing someone that played football. That makes you totally not seem like a moron.

OK? Even if this were true - who gives a shite? He was without question one of the 3-4 best quarterbacks to ever play for LSU, whether it was due to his physical skills, his ability to anticipate, his decision making or a combination of the three (it's the latter). Anyone that disagrees has some kind of ridiculous agenda or is a short-sighted idiot that can't separate his failures in the NFL from his staggering success in college.

Winning a championship means nothing imo comparing recent qbs. J

Did you read my posts or are you that dense? Same record, except in 2007 we got a lil lucky. Using championships to claim which qb was better is not the best route. JJ won an secc. Jmarc and Mett didn't. So using those standards, Jj is better. He won a championship and the others didn't.

Guess what flynns record was in 2007? 10-2. What was jmarcs in 06? 10-2.
