Uh yeah, like I said, sheep would flock to each new version. That doesn't happen with Microsoft.
quote:

Tell me, what else do Microsoft sheep do EXCEPT stick with Microsoft even while they're bitching and moaning about it ?
They use what lets them get their stuff done as economically as possible.
quote:

Or as you put it they get so pissed off they'd rather live with outdated software and hardware than leave Microsoft.
Jeezussz
Ah, now we're getting down to it. Just like a true sheep, you see it as going with a company rather than a product. It's not about leaving or staying with Microsoft. It's about using what gets the job done.
quote:

I guess that is a pretty definite statement on the sheep mentality of Microsoft users.
Just the opposite, but you can't seem to escape your own sheep mentality to see the truth.

?

Point I'm making is clear. it is precisely sticking with Windows even to the point of suffering through shitty OS upgrades rather than switching.

It obviously doesn't "Work to well" for them, if they'd rather go with a crappy new OS or sit back on outdated hardware and software rather than consider switching.

Yet iPhone users are sheep for not considering Android.

I got tired of Microsoft act and I decide not to be a sheep anymore and I switched. I couldn't be happier. And I don't have to sweat out whether Apple is going to put out a crap OS every other cycle.

Maybe if there weren't so many Microsheep that refuse to switch no matter what Redmond puts out, it couldn't get away with its business as usual cycle of every other crap OS's

He's saying people don't upgrade if it's "shitty". And maybe some people like an "older" windows OS over the newest OSX. Why are you being hypocritical?

What does hardware have to do with anything? And software date is relative. Patches, updates, service paks are always coming out and it's rare that people are always running the newest and greatest regardless of the system.

Great. Seems like an opinion though.

d I don't have to sweat out whether Apple is going to put out a crap OS every other cycle.
This is exactly what a "sheep" mentality is fwiw.

Your question makes no sense. Do you not see that people DO NOT just jump to the next version if it sucks?

You simply do not understand this concept.

Here is the difference between Apple sheep and Microsoft "sheep".

Apple sheep already know what phone they will buy this year, next year, and 5 years from now. They already know the brand of the next computer they will buy. And any new device Apple makes automatically moves to the top of their list. If Apple makes a device that is incompatible with their old accessories, or puts out an OS upgrade that doesn't work on their older hardware, Apple customers just buy new shite.

Microsoft "sheep" (I put it in quotes because Microsoft fanboys are few and far between) use Windows because it makes sense for what they do. Whether it's for cost reasons, or specific software, or familiarity, or whatever... it has to make sense. If it was a sheep mentality, everyone would jump on whatever Microsoft puts out, but they don't. Just the opposite, nobody has a problem criticizing the shite out of things they don't like. If Microsoft were to put out an OS that drops support for hardware people already have, the overwhelming consensus would be "frick you Microsoft, I'm not upgrading". It's the exact opposite of "sheep".

Your point is "clear", as non-existent things tend to be.

People stick with Windows for a whole lot of different reasons, but it is absurd to think that being a fanboy is anywhere near the top of the list.
quote:

It obviously doesn't "Work to well" for them, if they'd rather go with a crappy new OS or sit back on outdated hardware and software rather than consider switching.
Most of the world runs on Windows. It seems to work pretty well.

As much "crap" as Microsoft puts out, at least you don't have to worry about them putting out a desktop OS that doesn't work on 5 year old hardware, which Apple has done on several occasions. That would be, in your words, a "crap" OS that Microsoft would never hear the end of. But Apple does it and people line up outside their stores to buy the new hardware.
quote:

Maybe if there weren't so many Microsheep that refuse to switch no matter what Redmond puts out, it couldn't get away with its business as usual cycle of every other crap OS's
Let me tell you why Microsoft "gets away with" doing what they do: because there is an enormous library of software out there, and they do everything within their power to make sure it all still works with each new release for as long as possible, while still trying to improve the OS. If Microsoft had sheep for customers, they could break whatever software they wanted in the name of "innovation". But they don't have sheep for customers. They have very finicky customers who don't want to deal with bending to the whims of their OS vendor, like Apple customers readily do.

I love my windows phone. The only reason I bought it was because I had originally planned to buy all windows devices so it would be easy for me to do everything across several devices. Ended up liking the phone so much I decided I really didn't need a tablet.

I think the Surface Pro is a great device, but I know I wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost.

As for being a Sheeple, I bought Windows 95 because it was a large evolutionary step from Win3.1.

They did fool me into buying 98 which was a non-upgrade.

Learned my lesson there. I skipped 2000 and ME because people said they sucked.

I only moved to XP because I bought a new computer.

Skipped Vista like the plague. Moved to 7 for a new computer.

I was in the mood to try 8 which I did and I personally love it. Pressing 1 button to get to the old desktop wasn't over my head.

As to 9, it will be a good update for people who hate 8 but for people who like 8, 9 is probably not worth getting.

I don't think any of that behavior constitutes sheeple.

Unlike most on here, I don't hate competitors. Apple has a good product. Android has a good product. As long as there are several competitors, that forces innovation so we all win in the end.

8.1 is not bad. There are some features I like better than 7.

Exactly. Apple people just buy the new charger and the new speakers.

I have 2 months left on my stupid AT&T contract and as soon as it is up, I am gone.

They removed the wireless charging feature from the Lumia 1520 and dropped internal storage from 32GB to 16GB. Dropped the storage to get you to use their cloud and they dropped QI wireless charging to force you to buy their charging case.

They can eat a bag of dicks. I have no problem switching platforms if I feel I am being screwed. Apple guys smile and say....

No. The difference is unlike Microsoft, Apple has no history of putting out crappy OS's. Every release gets better and better.

The definition of sheep is sticking with a company no matter how lousy its product cycle.

That's cool..

What is people don;t want to spend Money on Microsoft software, or Android?

Does that make them sheep?

That's all I'm trying to get across.

Don't call iPhone & Apple users sheep without looking in the mirror.

1. I don't call apple people sheep
2. To get a Mac costs a lot more and is not worth it to some people.
