$5,000 doesn't sound so bad. If I had the $ or the time I'd totally go for it. Maybe one day

The staff could be all FDB members

Will, I run into the guy from time to time that ran Calendar's on Coursey for many years. He knew me from my wild days and still likes to tell me stories about me from those days. I was always too messed up back then to remember.

Anywho, their pasta jam was awesome. I'll get him to give me the recipe. Portobello's pasta jam is extremely meh.

It's really not. Especially for a lone standing, newly renovated building with it's own spacious parking lot...

When you get it, post it. Simply delicious. Get the chicken finger batter too!

constructive criticism: everything at Dempsey's is over-salted.

I hated the Perkins location & loved the Coursey location. Haven't been on that side of town in a number of months. But, it's disappointing to hear that they are closing.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Just FYI, I really don't have anything invested in the place except of course my inheritance. I'll be sure to pass your sentiments along.

$5000 is cheap. Sucks but cheap for the volume that drives by. I know a place that pays almost $8k in the area and had great business since they've been there.

And they did so much work to the building.

If it got so much love why did people quit going?

For what calendars represented itself to be, I always thought it's food was pretty good. Everything was clearly made in house, prices were reasonable, and it was always an easy place to get in and out with friendly staff. The chicken tenders, plantation salad, and nachos were my regulars.

The burger at the one in Monroe used to be pretty good. Last time I was there I think I had transitioned to 50% soybean. North side milfs were still ever present though.

I would guess the Monroe one is paying all the bills. How many are in Baton Rouge?

Don't know if y'all saw Bus Report, but Portico in Southdowns has closed as of last Friday.

I'm kinda bummed. They got a new "chef" and new menu a couple months ago, and added some good items. The pork carnitas tacos were legit.

I wasn't a fan of Coursey, but this place had a different menu. And the other day when we went, they had a massive wait.
