Yeah, I think it's pretty annoying. I mean, I understand because a lot of people call for rides when they're hammered, but to me that's just part of being a driver. It is expected.

I like the two-way accountability

LL forgot to mention that in every one of those scenarios the customer can be asked to leave and not allowed back.

No, it was Uber. It was definitely Uber. And it wasn't because I didn't leave a tip because one of the passengers I was with left the guy a $10 for an $80 far. He even kept saying, "You don't have to tip."

I've asked several of my Uber drivers if they can leave text feedback and every one said no, not sure how you and your girlfriend are getting such detailed criticism

It's not me, it's her. A driver told her they can see your rating when you request, and those are the reasons you get high ratings.

But they're not. And the waitress/bartender/cashier does not have that power unless they want to be fired. You can't tell your table to leave without being in trouble, and you can't refuse to wait on someone unless you have a REAAAAALLY awesome boss.

If I worked for Uber, I'd like the customer reviews too; don't get me wrong. But I just think the idea has flaws.

You've got to understand, Uber drivers are their own boss...that's how Uber treats them as for tax and benefits purposes so there has to be some trade off.

I'd like to think I'll be a good customer if I don't get raped and kicked out on the curb in downtown thugville

The idea is flawless.

It keeps the idiots out of the Uber loop.

Happy drivers, happy riders.

I was wondering this too. Anyone taken Uber from downtown BR to Prairieville yet? New to the app and it shows Pville as being outside of the BR territory. I'm assuming if you get picked up inside the territory box, they'll drive anywhere, right?

Both drivers I had didn't mind at all because they made a good chunk of money for a half hour of work.

And that surge pricing shite is a bitch.
