No.
No matter how good an OL is, if we telegraph our plays and the defense stacks the box, running the ball will be difficult.
We must be a threat to throw and be unpredictable with play calling, to keep the defense honest.

Tigeralum it looks like atltiger agrees with me.Apparently he's pretty smart.

Good grief. If we'd have ran the ball more last year we damn sure wouldn't have lost to Ole Miss.
I like how everyone has an incorrect theory on " the reason why we lost the Ole Miss game (because there can only be 1 reason, right?). In that game we literally put seven offensive linemen on the field and one receiver with a fullback and you're actually going to sit here and say that we didn't run the ball??

I stand corrected it was 60% run 40% pass last year for LSU. So i guess 70% run to 30% pass is possible for this year.
You are a numbskull. Outside of 2011 (when Lee played most of the year and averaged 19 passes a game before Bama), we have thrown the ball at least 300 times every year since Miles has been here. We passed more in 2009, than we did in 2013.

I think that's what you can expect this year - a lot of running, but not 75%; it'll be in the high 60's.
565 running 325 passing
run 63.5% to pass 36.5%

If by Ground and Pound you include looonngg drives of 10+ plays that grind a defense to bits, then I certainly hope so. It amazes me how some people think it's a bad thing to run the ball as long as you're picking up yardage and getting the 1st. Heck, I'd almost rather see a long drive for a FG than a quick 3 play TD drive if our defense is playing well. Keep their D on the field.

Two runs then the 5 yard pass for hopefully the first
With our O-line - and LF and the rest of our RB's in the backfield - I suspect that we'll average more than 2.5 yards per carry.
And speaking of "suspect"...

UF players were goading the crowd on the E side, and then after a couple of runs where everyone knew what was coming, you could literally see the spirit break on their sidelines.

Where did you find this logo? Pretty damn sweet!

With Cameron in control you will see more passing to RB's and TE's to move the ball down the field.

With Cameron, I think the run plays will be more diverse than at times in the past. Sometimes you simply could look at which RB was in the game and diagnose the play in the days of the Wizard.

yep. each RB had a specific package when he was in the game. easy to scheme after year one.

I really don't give a shite what's considered "fun" offense as long as we win.
Posted on 8/20/14 at 2:34 pm to FLObserver
are run a lot, and then threw high percentage throws and some deep play actions.
Also hopefully we'll work in some read option. I've seen them working on it. Would be a fun additional wrinkle

You two have forgotten more football then I will ever know, and I am a far removed casual observer. I just know that this offensive line is as good as we have ever had as a unit, our backs are that good, and just because you know something is coming and is predictable does not mean you can stop it!
