oh no I am well aware who the intended audience is and that is the problem. Chief Delmore is a jackass for doing this. Other than drawing attention to Chief Delmore exactly what did he hope to accomplish with this missive? It is not about right or wrong it is about proper time and place and professional etiquette. Sure this has not been handled well but there will be plenty of time for blame to be placed when it all is over. I guess Delmore was scared he would not get as much attention if he waited. Your screen name does explain why you are unable to comprehend this though.

1) How many people do you arrest for J-Walking in Gulf Shores every year?
2) What is the mindset of a police officer who is out to apprehend people for J-Walking?

I have not painted any picture of the area, you folks that live there did that. I did not invent the stats they are easy to verify, sorry if the truth hurts. Perhaps if the residents would pull their heads out of the sand and stop denying there is a crime problem there things would get better.
